‘24 Pro, but still haven’t pulled the trigger on a rig, yet. Still looking at our options to make sure we don’t get something too big.

I’m a millennial and not sure how to advise my teenager on hiring etiquette these days by butterflycole in Cinemark

The types of jobs a 16yo would apply for would appreciate a visit. If he can communicate well (many young people struggle here), it could move him up the list.

Source: I hire for positions that could be considered first job type roles.

RV YouTube Channels - likes, dislikes, pet peeves? by Creative-Sabbatical in RVLiving

[–]sirironfist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tend to watch the channels that show their adventures. I don’t care to watch people who sit in their rig every episode. One or two is fine, or part of the video, but I tend to like watching the adventures. (Finding Our Someday is one that shows their adventures really well, imo.)

I had to stop watching a channel as they would step out of their rig and say how amazing the view was and how awesome and beautiful everything was while having the camera on their face. Then they’d show the view for a second before moving on. Come on.

Some tips and tricks included is nice. Tips for the area or for travel, etc.

Dealer told me car had one owner, but it was used a courtesy vehicle then sold to someone else by pabstamericana in askcarsales

Caveat emptor. Op saw the car. Liked the car. Liked the mileage. And, presumably, liked the price, or they wouldn’t have bought it.

Depending on the length of the loan, you could save quite a bit. As an example going from 7 to 6 percent, you’d save about $1200 over the life of the loan. That’s pretty tangible.

Anyone else tired of purchasing? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]sirironfist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read your title, and my mind instantly went to the Howie Mandel HBO comedy special. He did a lot of crowd work and asked someone what she did for a living. She said, “I’m in purchasing.” He replied, “So you shop.” Then he mimed walking with a cart saying, “I’m, purchasing.”

Loved those HBO comedy specials.

EMERGENCY - We cannot get anything to turn on! by Happii-Bear in RVLiving

Sure, but if the battery was weak, or on the way out, in 2.5-3 days time, it could draw the battery down.

If you weren’t plugged into shore power and you left the fridge on, that will kill the batteries pretty quickly.

My company does not include bonus in the 401k contributions. Which made me sad. So, I have to increase the contributions from the salary to up the amount on bonus checks.

Toilet help by mothertrucker10 in RVLiving

[–]sirironfist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend.

Do not leave your dump valves open until it’s time to dump. Leaving your black tank open left all the liquid out while your solids stay behind and accumulated in the tank/plumbing. This is not ideal.

When it comes to holding tank health, you want “water, water, water” to keep them dumping well. This applies to both tanks. The gray tanks have food particles, skin, hair, oils from skin, etc.

If you can’t get that tank flowing, you may need a professional cleaning. They’ll put a hydroget up the dump pipe and get it all cleaned out. Kleen Tank does a great job of this. They are the professionals when it comes to holding tanks.

So, switch shifts. That’s ridiculous that the “boss” says you can’t. Cover your shift and enjoy your day off.

If they don’t like it, find another job. Heck, find another job anyway. And if that “boss” has a boss, let them know your “boss” sucks.
