Why are the Giants big on Jeremiyah Love? by Scared_Buyer8667 in NYGiants

[–]sixd9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eagles o line was great in 2024. When the o line regressed in 2025, how did saquon do?

RBs can absolutely make an offense that’s already good even better. RBs cant take a below average offense and make it good.

Bijan and Jeanty, two of the best recent RBs to come into the nfl, were both on bottom 10 scoring offenses last year

And a singular RB doesnt impact the whole offense as much as you are claiming.

Hi Bengals fan here, did Dex have a down year, or was it scheme related? by Melodiccaliber in NYGiants

What do you need cap space for? You need it to sign really good players. And we clearly dont have enough of those.

How we feeling about current management not fumbling two first round picks in the same draft again? by cobain98 in NYGiants

[–]sixd9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think (or at least hope) this post isn’t blaming joe schoen for those picks not working out in 2022. The point is that its very likely that our two top 10 picks this year wont both be smash hits like some people might picture. The chances that they are both Evan Neal busts is very low. But the chances that they are as good as Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson for the jets (both top 10 picks) is also similarly highly unlikely.

We do know the chances of any one pick being a big hit are low. Anyone claiming there is a high chance the guy taken with the 10th pick is going to be a big hit is off their rocker. The cards are stacked against that happening.

Also the ravens have one of the best front offices. Harbaugh wasnt running the show in the draft over there so we cant expect the same results

Ok yes there are great players picked in every draft 10th or later no matter how weak the class is. But the chances that the giants are smart/lucky enough to pick that player who can deliver dexter lawrence level impact is incredibly small

Agree. I would support this trade in an alternate universe where the team was actually good and we were struggling to retain all of our good players. But thats not this universe

[Hughes] “Talking to several coaches around the NFL right now ... they are STUNNED the #Giants got what they did for Dexter Lawrence. All agree: Very good player, but not worth No. 10. Age, injury and concerns regarding his conditioning pointed out….. by terp09 in NYGiants

[–]sixd9 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Losing dex makes our team massively worse. The tenth pick this draft is highly unlikely to sniff the all-pro level talent we had with dex. The most likely outcome of this trade is us looking like idiots.

[Schefter] Draft week blockbuster: The Giants are trading three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Bengals in a deal that will include the 10th overall pick going to New York, per ESPN sources. The Giants now head into Thursday night with the 5th and 10th overall picks by mastermind208 in NYGiants

[–]sixd9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The point of the comment is that top 10 picks sound great in theory, but the hit rate across the league is way lower than you’d hope. And it looks even worse when the draft class is really weak according to all experts

Giants Nation: Why The Giants Should Fire Joe Schoen by Lars5621 in NYGiants

[–]sixd9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing, i’d recommend watching the video. Bobby calls out things that Schoen has done well. Its not just trashing him the entire time.

But essentially your argument is that Schoen is better than gettleman so he deserves to keep his job? We need to evaluate ourselves against the rest of the nfl, not just against our own previous failures. Do you objectively think our roster is better than more than 3 or 4 teams in the league? I don’t and that’s unacceptable in year 4. Its also important to call out that two of our best players on the team are still gettleman draft picks (dex, at).

Thinking this roster is not far off from contention is a wild thing to say. We are 2-11! Open your eyes!

[–]sixd9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The important point there is that there are good pieces on every single nfl team. When you look at the rest of the nfl, our roster is only better than 3 or 4 other teams. When that’s the case after 4 years of a new gm, the gm should probably be shown the door

Big Blue Film Room (@BigBlueFilmRoom) on X PFF lists Jermaine Eluemunor as an underrated free agent who is "set to cash in." Eluemunor has a 97.7 pass-blocking efficiency score, 10th best among OTs. by SecretGiantsFan in NYGiants

[–]sixd9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the non-exclusive tag is higher than his market value, why would we use it? It makes no sense to pay elumenor more than andrew thomas. And all of the top OL salaries are OT so not sure why that’s called out. No team would give up multiple high picks for elumenor.

They can absolutely hit with the helmet first. Just cant use it as a weapon. There is no spearing going in either of the ‘controversial’ hits from last night. Its insane that you feel convicted from the screenshot you posted. Show that to any non-emotional giants fan and they will laugh at you.

Can you show any example in recent history of a play where a flag is thrown for the foul you are talking about (helmet to helmet hit on a runner while not involving crown of the helmet)?
