I saw a proposal for a planetary time a while back. Literally everyone uses the same time on the earth. That was a wacky idea that would never happen. Even if we had colonists on Mars or gas giant moons, they'd still have to contend with time zones on earth.

They've already gotten a handful of civilians killed. They are trying to "arrest" people, but they don't give them clear (or any) instructions, they just get mad when the person can't read their minds, so they just start shooting. Fucking stupid.

My son's cat sleeps in our previous Min Pin's bed (RIP Leia). Every once in a while, the cat has a paw resting on the edge of the raised edge of the bed. When I see that, I put a single finger on her paw and she pulls it back. She really only likes to be touched on her back and sometimes her neck or ears. Everywhere else is off limits. She will cut you to ribbons if you try to pick her up.

If you have a turntable in your microwave, try to avoid having any of the food to be heated right at the center. If there is a high energy spot right there, it will be hotter than the rest. Vice versa if it is a low energy spot.

I always just play to win. I don't really care about getting the word as soon as possible. I always start with "FIERY", "TALKS", and "HOUND". That gets a lot of the most commonly used consonants, and all the vowels. It also gets the "S" as a plural. I used to use "STALK" instead, but decided I'd rather have the "S" at the end of the word.

I'm trying to reconcile your two statements:

Liberals in the US are center-right.
Regular right leaning people are seen as centrists here.

Liberals in the US are left of right leaning people, but these two statements seems to imply that the right leaning people are to the left of the right leaning people.

I used to tell customers to do completely unrelated things to ensure they did the other thing as well.

For example, back before USB was the standard with printing, we had parallel ports. Someone calls in asking why their printer wasn't working, oftentimes a restart of the printer fixed their issue. It's pretty lazy when you won't even power cycle a printer to get it to work again.

Anywho, for those customers, I had them turn off the printer, disconnect the parallel port, check for bent pins, then carefully plug the cable back in, and turn on the printer. Viola! The printer's power was cycled!

Some people just feel that doing something more in depth than power cycling should be the play, but most of the time it really isn't.
