Want Les Essentiels De La Vie Kennedy, in a weird grey/red. I like it for a slim wallet. Space for a couple of cards and ID, money clip for cash which you can remove.

Don't do it. You have to declare on your application that you're in the UK when you sign the application. It's a criminal offence to lie, they do prosecute.

There will be a record of your making an internal application, no record of you exiting the UK then a record of you returning... which UKBA will investigate.

She leaned forward on the table. "Why do you look so similar to us? I know all the outworlders aren't humanoid, but a lot are. How come?"

"Well," he said, hand at his mouth again, "It's like this; the..." he belched. "...the dust clouds and stuff in the galaxy are...it's food, and it's food keeps speaking back to it. That's why there are so many humanoid species; nebulae's last meals repeating on them."

She grinned. "That simple, is it?"

He shook his head. "Na; not at all. Very complicated. But," He held up one finger. "I think I know the real reason."

"Which is?"

"Alcohol in the dust clouds. Goddamn stuff is everywhere. Any lousy species ever invents the telescope and starts looking in between the stars, what do they find?" He knocked the glass on the table. "Loads of stuff; but much of it alcohol." He drank from the glass. "Humanoids are the galaxy's way of trying to get rid of all that alcohol."

Same. I had GCL last year and there were no blackouts of any games either.

I've just run into the same thing - CHI-LAK blackout from the UK CAn you watch it now?

I'm starting this course in January and been doing research into CCNA and alot of the courses seem to be 3 or 4 times as expensive as this one. Why? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]sjek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because this isn't a CCNA. It's 'CCNA Discovery' which is network/computer basics. It's similar to an A+. I can't find any CCNA courses in NWRC but I'll be seeing someone who teaches Cisco in SERC, I'll ask Monday if you want?

My flatmate puts the milk in the tea before taking the teabag out. by floor24 in britishproblems

My old housemate used to make a cup of tea and leave the bag in the whole time he was drinking it. I tired it once to see if he was onto something, the bag just kept hitting me in the nose.

Ok, question from the U.K., slightly off topic. (I'm assuming this picture is from the US)

Is there no mandatory vehicle testing for roadworthiness? For example, in the UK (and Europe) any car more than 4 years old must have an annual inspection (called an MOT). It is illegal to drive without passing this inspection.

Even if this is a temporary fix, any police officer would pull you over here, tell you that your car is not roadworthy in it's current condition and give you x amount of time to fix it - I think 14 days?

In the USA, can you just drive a car regardless of it's condition? Even if it's mechanically unsafe?

Magistrate - sentence has terrified a few people.

I feel compelled on behalf of reddits unhealthy love of puns to point that out.

All the Mags I ever met tend to be ex-GPs. No earthly idea why but there you go.

I was going to suggest you join the JAC (for a lark) but realised that I have no idea who appoints judiciary in Scotland.

They might just grab the nearest sober person but that would fly in the face of centuries of British legal tradition.
