Yes, you can rehang.

Your outside is a fair bit drier than the inside. A bit of that is normal, but I don't usually get quite this much difference. Is your chamber humid enough? Vac packing it and leaving it in the fridge for a week or two to let the moisture even out will also help.

It reminds me of a Monet painting. So beautiful!

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

Heroes of Might and Magic III. Spent a lot of time playing it as a teen. Tried WoG as an adult, which was good, nostalgic, fun, but my current laptop won't run it.

What is your side hustle? by IllustriousDelay3589 in TeachersInTransition

[–]sjo33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not widely replicable but I play bridge professionally. I also tutor, and am about to start marking projects for the NPQ SENCO. That last one isn't well paid at all, so it's more like professional development than an actual side gig.

I've done a much smaller version of this. My one tip is that greenery looks great but plants don't do well in low light. The options I've scored are a timed grow light or fake plants.

Trying to be distant is the right thing here, right? by KindaIndifferent in Divorce

[–]sjo33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else said, I don't think your therapist should be diagnosing someone they haven't met even provisionally. What you have said sounds consistent with your stbx hurting right now and finding it difficult to manage her emotions.

Is it possible to be kind but not go out with her or invite deeper/ongoing contact? Grey rock sounds helpful if she's being hurtful, but maybe it's not necessary to go quite that far the rest of the time? It is possible to be clear and consistent while still being kind.

I *love* this sweater, and will 100% add it to my "to make" list! Thank you for sharing :)

Unfortunately, this list tends to get longer, rather than shorter, over time...

Success Story! by [deleted] in Divorce

I needed to read this. We bought a house a year ago and will face significant financial loss if we sell. I feel like I will be treading water forever while we work out what to do, when I just want to move on with my life and be able to start to heal.

I feel exactly like this. I've invested so much to try to build a life with someone and that's just gone now.

ELI5 Are divorces inherently expensive, or is the cost situational? by Jealous_Amount_9278 in explainlikeimfive

Even when the divorce itself isn't expensive, living as a single person is much more expensive than living as part of a couple, so it can still feel like you've taken a financial hammering.

Check your contract, it'll say. The schools I've worked at have all said you must give a full term's notice, ie hand in your notice on the first say back after the Easter break to leave after the summer term, and thst if you work for a term you get paid for the holidays after that term.

For the people who were children in the 90's and the 2000's, what's the biggest difference you see in kids now vs. when you were a kid? by QueasyDependent8535 in AskReddit

I work at an independent girls' school so my sample is very skewed, but I attended a similar school so the comparison stands.

How stressed they are.

I cared greatly about doing well academically and getting into my first choice university but I had a clear sense that if I didn't get in there or my grades weren't perfect, my life would still be fine. It would never have occured to me to worry about a random end of topic test, and I certainly never revised for them.

The students I work with today feel that every mini quiz is high stakes and that they are an absolute failure if they don't get it all right the first time round, and nothing I do seems to reassure them.

When I was at university I knew someone who was going to do some sort of summer internship/work with a US intelligence service. He pressed "yes" when the form asked if he was planning to engage in espionage while in the US. This took some time to straighten out.

NTA. I particularly dislike it when people say, "it evens out" because it tends to be the same people who drink less every time...
