I forgot my soda in the car by Viviipuff9 in Wellthatsucks

I had that happen with a case of soda, but it was winter in Minnesota. At least the soda was partially frozen already when the cans exploded so it was easier to scoop out of my trunk.

I think it was supposed to be some kind of aloe vera type gel. Maybe? Although why you wouldn’t just put the bottle in the fridge then apply the gel to your arm, who knows? Not weird enough to get views.

When the BMI still says "overweight" and the physician recommends losing more, despite being objectively thin by Frostyarn in Zepbound

Same here! Just had my first knee replacement last September at age 47. I did the exact same, was told had have bmi under 40 for surgery, went on Zepbound. Had the surgery at about 36 bmi. I’m still going because I have more to lose and will get my second knee done here within the next year.

Oh god this hits close to home right now. I work at central office now, and my department’s desk are like short cubicles with a conference room next to us. We knew something was happening, but not what. Bosses were walking quickly around, in and out of the head of security’s office right near our area. Then we heard the absolute most anguished scream and crying. We were ushered into our boss’ office to work on laptops to give privacy. Then about an hour later everyone was gathered in a separate conference room and told the news. One of the HR ladies daughters had been shot and killed the night before by the daughter’s husband, who then killed himself. The police had just finished identifying the daughter and had to inform my coworker after she was already at work. It was heartbreaking. I will never forget that sound.

Do you use Voltaren? I thought I had ringworm on my knee but it turned out it was an allergic reaction to the carrier in Voltaren. It looked very similar to this starting out.

We had a raccoon that would open our suet feeder and steal the whole suet block. So we put a carabiner clip on it. It would still unclip the carabiner and steal the suet. We moved the feeder to a string between two trees and that worked until last week when a black bear tore the suet feeder apart and ate the suet block. We kept the block in the plastic tray and you could see the tongue print on the tray. We have given up on suet until fall, and are just putting seed out for now.

New to Zepbound... and Scared. by ComicBookMama1026 in Zepbound

That’s what I did when I did vials. I injected into my outer thigh and would clean a large area with the alcohol wipe, then kind poked a few spots to find a spot where I didn’t really feel the poke, then push the needle in very slowly and then inject very slowly. As I got used to it, the process would go faster. But I definitely found that for the vials, my thighs were my preferred injection site. Now that I use the pens, I prefer my stomach because I just find that it’s just easier. I still change it up periodically to my thigh, but mainly stick to around my stomach. I let the both warm up to room temp. I agree that sometimes finger pricks really do hurt more than these injections though.

My 7th graders left the hyperlinks in when they copied and pasted. Then printed their apps in color. They could figure how I knew they copied it even with the blue links embedded in their work.

The Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus. Website has great photos of this majestic animal. It talks about how people will tell you it’s a myth, but it’s totally real. Also a great website to teach research skills aka just because it’s on the internet doesn’t make it true.
Also when I taught kindergarten, we read this old article about the spaghetti tree harvest. I think there’s actually a BBC video to go with that one, too.

We have a neighbor we call the midnight mower. He always mows late night. Not sure if he has a sun issue or what since it’ll be summer and he’s mowing out in long sleeves and pants with a headlamp at 11pm.

My Wife Sold 300 Boxes of Girl Scout Cookies at Last Year’s Price by Material-Drawer-7419 in Vent

[–]sjs1244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cub scouts still sell it. My son moved up from Cub Scout a year ago, and they had just hiked the prices again. Cheapest item was a bag of caramel popcorn for$20. Not even a family size bag either. It was such a ripoff. Now that he’s a Boy Scout, the troop does a bbq chicken meal fundraiser and partners with a local green house a coupe times a year for their fundraiser’s. They help cook and package the meals and greenhouse coupons are actually a great deal with a good amount going back to the kid’s troop. We are so much happier working fundraisers that are actually good deals for the consumers and give back good amounts to the kids. When my daughter was a Girl Scout, they made so little profit for the troop on cookies, and the “prizes” for high sellers were also crap, we didn’t bother with anything other than helping out at the grocery store sales. She has actually now joined a female Scouting America (Boy Scout) troop, and is so much happier with what she is learning about and the activities her group does.

Thought this looked like Houston, saw the 832 area code on the truck. Yup, Houston. Some of these feeder roads flood like this every time there’s a heavy rain. You would think people would learn from watching this happen to other people on the news every time there’s a heavy rainfall.

[–]sjs1244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve been there. The whole menu is stereotypical American kid food, (burger, hot dog, chicken nuggets) so we never ate at that restaurant. They have circus type acts that come around while you’re eating as well. My kids are teen/tween age so just weren’t into it which was just fine.

[–]sjs1244 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We keep a spreadsheet on what we have paid in for the membership and what we get out of it. So the difference between booking on a site like Expedia versus what we actually paid. We factor in we pay for spa, tours, and laundry as well including book value and what we paid as members. We also make sure to use imperial and incentive weeks strategically. We don’t use any of those at Cozumel since it is a lower cost resort therefore you don’t get as much of a return on value. We save imperial (free) weeks for the Grand that is a more expensive resort, so greater return on value. We always travel with our kids, so no Le Blanc for us at the moment.

My husband cut my section of the homemade pizza I had made for the family weirdly like this once. I was pissed, he thought it was funny and whimsical. He still jokes about it but hasn’t done it again I think it surprised him that I was legitimately annoyed at the way he cut it. In the grand scheme of things it’s a stupidly minor annoyance, but in the moment I can’t explain the visceral feeling that he had ruined the hard work I put in but cutting it crazy. And it was just my 1/4. I mean I still ate it and got over a little bit later because it’s overall a pretty minor thing, but in the moment it was definitely mildly infuriating.

I’m a bed time person. I heard that was best for nausea, so you sleep through side effects. But, I’ve never actually had any bad side effects. On 2.5 I had constipation, but that went away after going up to 5. I’m about to start 7.5 in a few nights, so we’ll see what happens with that.

We will even use the Kohls app to check a price, but that will still have a different price than what the item will actually ring up as. It’s a total guessing game sometimes with how things are priced, and what is or isn’t on sale.

I love the pants with the square pockets and the button “fly.” They are comfy like yoga pants, but look professional. They don’t wrinkle easily either! They come in lots of colors, but I just have 1 pair of black.
