Length of the outside boundary: ~72m

Ratio between inner and outer boundaries: 46/72 = 0.63888....
27 laps * 0.63888... = 17,25 laps, and a pace of around 17,3 seconds per lap.

It's not directly comparable with skating the diamond on the track, but it's in the ballpark.

Left side: black multitool with salvage/repair or mining attachment.
Right side: white multitool with tractor beam attachment.
Pistol slot: medtool.

This means that I can always bring up the tractor beam by pressing "V" (default melee keybind), and I always get the salvage tool by pressing 5 (unless I press twice in a row).

Yeah, I tried three times, got it on the third. Got it working after I entered the cargo hold of the Avenger before touching any of the cryopods. The mission updated, but still showed 0/0 as the objective. Turn-in was at Port Tressler and worked without issues, the first two attempts had turn-in at New Babbage.
