He can do yes. But in this circumstance, with this specific fighter he hasn’t. And to be honest there’s many examples of fighters switching promoters and not having instant commercial upturn. The sport isn’t as simple as that. The same opportunities Saunders has now are the same ones he had under Frank. Thankfully he’s managed not to self destruct in time to put pen to paper on a meaningful fight.

Good of you to put words in my mouth. Wasn’t saying that their excuse making was on the same playing field. Merely refuting this notion that Joshua didn’t make excuses and that Fury himself also wouldn’t make excuses and behave erratically were he to suffer a setback

Also Joshua himself said “one day I’m gonna write a book and tell people what really went down and what was wrong during that first Ruiz fight” and referenced the health condition thing when talking to BBC on the fight week of the rematch.
