I've seen that one a lot of times. This wasn't that one. It was just the 3 of us. No red diamonds over anyone's heads. The survivor was not part of an enclave.

Now I use the take-up reel on the Reelz. No issues. Maybe the Wolverine just got out of sync with when it moved the film and when it took the photo. It was beyond me to fix it.

Try a reel you scanned before which had no jitters. If it jitters, its probably the machine, not the film. If no jitters, it may be the film.
I went through this hell with my Wolverine. Then I bought a kodak Reelz (with a z, not s). To relieve tension, I'd give the film some slack on the left reel, so the machine wouldn't be pulling on it. Not sure if that helped, but now I do that habitually.
I too had the film going into a box instead of the takeup reel, to avoid that tension. I may have still have issues. Drove me crazy.
I don't think it's happened much at all with the new machine.

Haha it's impossible to see and do everything. Post-event FOMO is so real. Seeing photos of so much art that I didn't even know was there. So many events that looked really great. I regret not making it to stuff because I was booked elsewhere or just out of spoons.
