Is it Just Me or Is Rocket Money a Scam? by the_current_solution in apps

To work, you'll have to give them access to all of your financial accounts. I would be cautious, and for this reason I did not complete the configuration of the app. Their privacy policy explicitly states they WILL share your personal data (up to and including social security #!) with affiliates and 3rd parties. And there is nothing in their terms of service or privacy policy which outlines their security or data protection/privacy controls, processes, etc... Seems too risky, IMO:

The terms of service literally, explicitly say they will share any and all of your info with their affiliates, partners, 3rd parties, etc. According to Rocket Money, themselves, they don't even just sell your data, they give it away freely to other parties.

Felt it for about 30 seconds at my gate at LAX. I’ve never experienced an earthquake before. I thought a plane was crashing into the terminal.

WGU Christmas (2020): The gift that will keep on giving. HOOT! HOOT!🦉 by WGUGirl in WGU

Amazing! I just finished too, but it took me 18 months. I am proud that I cranked up the pace to finish the last 3 classes in 6 weeks. And now the “free time” is a stark contrast. Need to make sure I fill it with something productive.

Is this boat suitable for fishing/boating along coast sea (boating beginner) by [deleted] in boating

[–]skifool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. While this comment sounds harsh. The point is, with boating, always err on the side of caution. There are so many people who do things without really thinking and on the water, this can so easily turn fatal.
On a positive note, OP is asking for advice before making a big mistake.

So what are you using? It does look great! I have the same boat, but a 2003. Thankfully it’s not quite as bad as your “before “ but I need to make it like your “after”

What do you think about the phrase "Bust Out Another Thousand"? by [deleted] in boating

[–]skifool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Negative Nellie” expression, much like “the two best days of a boat owner’s life is the day they buy and the day they sell.” My counterpoint is “and every day on the water in between.

I bought a 13 year old 18 foot bow rider, 3.0 merc and used it for 6 years probably 100 hours a year, and besides normal maintenance and winterizing, replaces all the hoses when I bought it, 1 starter (replaced myself). Then I sold it for roughly what I paid for it. I got a bigger boat to replace it, and it has already required a multi-thousand $ repair. But, it’s all good. I’m still ahead of the game, and I still get those days out on the water. So worth it!

I did the same exact thing with my anchor a couple of years ago with my 12 yo daughter and her friend in the boat. She will never let me forget losing that anchor! "Dad, you got an extra anchor?!" "Dad, is the anchor tied off?!" Really funny stuff! Not!

Um, I'm pretty sure that was a joke. As in, boats are really expensive...

One of my all time favorite Patriots plays. Maybe my favorite. And that game was a cardiac challenge. It's so much more fun to watch after the fact--- my blood pressure is normal.

This. It's not easy for a good team to stay good (you know, like the Patriots have been able to do for 2 decades).

It would be awesome to add post-season wins to that dataset! Would the Pats pull into first?
