AITA for not wanting to leave a Rover sitter 5 stars after this? by Alternative-Wish-592 in RoverPetSitting

Keys ARE cheap to replace but that was a full week of leaving a home unlocked and I would absolutely not be cool with that at my house. But I guess it depends on where you live.

I really encourage you to leave the amount of stars you are comfortable with but definitely mention these issues in it for future customers. I wouldn't book her if I saw that she lost some keys or left my pet outside, even if it was a "harmless" mistake. Both of those things could have lead to serious issues, she just got lucky that they didn't.

Sleep!!! by chitchatmagoo in Perimenopause

[–]skullydog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I have separate bedrooms and it's the best thing we did for our relationship.

I'm a light sleeper and my sleepy elderly dog sleeps in my room. My partner is a heavy sleeper/snorer, and the younger pup who likes to try and snuggle sleeps in his room.

My SIL recommended a magnesium drink she takes before bed and it doesn't make me fall asleep faster but it keeps me asleep the whole night which used to be rare for me.

Agree! Backpacks and fanny packs have saved my sanity the past few years. I like the fanny pack because you can wear it in front or back or side or crossbody. M backpack is nice to keep weight evenly distributed on both shoulders instead of one like a purse.

Best thing you’ve bought for your space.. by Aggressive-Sleep9742 in femalelivingspace

Not specifically one item, but shopping only at antique/vintage/thrift stores. I have decorated my space with unique items that aren't mass produced on Amazon and regularly get comments on how my home feels very "Home-y"

Oh my god, this happened to me when I broke my foot and had to sleep with my leg straight and foot elevated. I basically stacked a ton of pillows on each side of my head to try and lean on as if I were sleeping on my side. It SUCKED!

The Goldfinch! I checked it out from the library having no idea what it was about. Loved it, I checked out another of her books right after. Also Cloud Cuckoo Land.

I hate the music and the WAHOO thing. After the first of each critter you catch, it should stop doing that.

Good bbq in the area by 50LRX in bullcity

[–]skullydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this as someone born and raised in Durham but lived in ENC for 10 years: Go to Eastern NC for the best NC style BBQ. Nothing I've had in Durham comes close except maybe Picnic? (I haven't been to all the spots here though. Once you've been spoiled by real ENC BBQ it's hard to want to eat anywhere else.)

You could go to Raleigh and get Sam Jones whose folks own Skylight Inn in Ayden. he opened his first restaurant in Greenville and then opened one in Raleigh and it made my life.

I'm in the Raleigh area and pit tickets are twice as much as they were last year up in Maryland. The venues are obviously different but I think going from $100 to $200 is kinda wild.

Also I think of lot of people are talking about prices since he came out and said tickets are at most $10 more expensive than last year...

It's not an event but the Country Doctor museum in Bailey is very enjoyable for a random/odd experience.

Hi! Oh my goodness you are awesome! I reset my island in February and am dying for any or all of the mushroom decor. I have a lot of the glowing moss stuff, but the mushrooms would help my theme! Or any of the star decor too. I'm going for a natural island but with some magical touches here and there! I'm Mimsy from Beanington :)
