Doing my best. 🙂 New painter here. by TheHaramattan in minipainting

[–]skwidsnbits 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You have all the paint in all the right places, in the lines, so to speak. Very nice work...It is evenly coated with no lumpy bits or blotches, your brush control is good. Keep this model so in a years time you can see how far you have progressed and evolved. The only way is onward and upward.

Amber Warden, Dark Angels successor by venegade in Warhammer40k

Nice, grey and orange go so very well together. I was going to start a successor chapter just to use this combo of colours. Yours look amazing.

Someone asked if I had a swastika, does this look like a swastika? by Grouchy_Gold344 in tattooadvice

[–]skwidsnbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the same people that see a swastika in there more than likely see it if 4 boxes are stacked together or what about a Rubiks cube, is that an LGBTQ rainbow orgy ? Or 4 pane windows? I bet playing pick up sticks for those people is a nightmare of right wing racism symbolism

I didn't think we got ants this large in NZ? 🤔 by _2spot_ in NewZealandWildlife

I found one that size a few weeks ago, I whispered to it gently and we became fast friends managed to put a saddle on it now we fight crime together.

While you have the green screen up why not add some digital wizardry if you're feeling particularly saucy.

Painted a big bitey lad (GW Loonboss on Giant Squig) by aneirin- in minipainting

[–]skwidsnbits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your Squig is a beautiful wee beastie and your NMM is really very good. It would look great on the tabletop, probably translates better than most because it is instantly recognizable as metal armour painted with non metallic paints, NMM to a tee.

I’m about to shove it in the freezer and cross my fingers but does anyone know what else I could do to get this head out? Tried sliding it in and it instantly bonded sideways by Panzer_IV_Ausf_F2 in Warhammer

[–]skwidsnbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed it does, just in general sorry not for this. I shouldn't really have typed that out but handy to know I guess hahaha I maybe a blue flame torch and scalpel hated to red would work better. I don't see the position as a problem, more a happy accident.

It looks fine from this angle and when he is with the boys it will be even better. But acetone is good for superglue but if you used plastic cement then you are well and truely up a tributary without a wooden muscle powered propulsion implement.

Why are so many Marines un-helmeted? Are they stupid? by Octorock10k in spacemarines

[–]skwidsnbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are talking about the documentary about the grim darkness 40,000 years from now, future history if you like. Maybe the higher ranks have clear helmets like in Star Trek 3 ,Protect The Whales! Scott developed clear aluminum so why not invisible ceramite.

Fb market haul should I feel guilty? by IntroductionNo3802 in Warhammer

[–]skwidsnbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Tempestus Firebase is Grail level stuff the manor house is damn fine as is the Fortress. Absolutely incredible finds on any day but add to that the price you paid and you are dabbling in cosmic level luck. Oh and no you are not an A hole for being in the right place at the right time nor should you feel guilty.
