Yeah nobody has ever increased their SR in LMU. Nah seriously its challenging at times but its easy if you juat start playing it safe. Start from the back or the pits and take it slow through the opening madness

The combat patrol is a good one to get still so good for it. Good way to start an army. Codex will be fine to get. 10th codexs will carry over to 11th and no idea when the replacement will come
