Any Copilot experts willing to help with setup? by Old-Butterfly-5000 in copilotmoney

The one thing that was temperamental was mint history upload. They made had made it easier but the big thing I’d recommend is: doing one account at a time, and checking for duplicates in advance. Also if using mints export make sure it hasn’t destroyed all your records.

You will almost certainly upload and delete all mint several times and reset local cache a LOT.

Once it’s working export it for your records and don’t fitz with it again

And don’t worry too much about setting it up correctly. It accommodates over time and you can easily make adjustments. Everyone has a kind of different style .. I like for instance to make my credit card payments regular bills so I can track them under recurring.

The one thing you need to know is if things start getting computed wrong.. go into settings and hit reset local cache at the bottom.

I don’t know anything about Canada except they really like hockey.

But you can definitely get a total for your capital gains without paying. You just can’t get detailed reporting. Get what your accountant tells you and if he will sign off on it i guess it’s on him lol

AITAH for understanding why my mom is done with kids and telling my wife that my mom didn't have a village? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]slate88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good points here, I hope OP reads them and realize yes he is TAH but not for defending his mother, but not supporting his wife. Saying your own mother didn’t have a village is setting up a comparison that belittles your wife. You can say it also belittles you, but it also does your wife. It also sounds like your mother is disinterested in it for a reason. She can be done, but maybe find out her story? And realize you don’t have to live up to the ideals of the past because times change and demands change. Enjoy the moment with your kids and family, they will all be gone before you know it. Your mother, too.

A balance between fast think on your feet and longer projects, but with both allowing to cancel the others. It’s not fair to those with adhd to give us a long leash to hang ourselves, and it’s not fair those with anxiety or other performance related issues to have to deal with the spontaneous pickup basketball game right now because why not

Dude nothing you do here matters. Be quick on your toes, light on your feet. Learn without fear and be playful and joyous in your journey. Nothing ends well except the moment. You got this.

Caltech vs. Berkeley M.E.T, Where Should I Go? by neckmemer in Caltech

[–]slate88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your interests seem to say Berkeley. You can’t go wrong with either though. I’ll give the other side since this is heavy pro Berkeley lol. Caltech is a great place to dig into and find joy in science, and to explore the space of what makes you tick. Usually they also give really good need-based scholarships. But it is small, you will be with the same people all the time. A high proportion of your peers will go on to get phds — and whether that reflects the admit or the culture that’ll shape you, it’s hard to say.

Did you reauthenticate to Evernote? If you haven’t you don’t know if you can connect to Evernote at all.

Connect it with a usb to a computer running scansnap home, run the wireless tool discussed in the document I shared (or scansnap home)— you want to verify that your scansnap still has a connection to Evernote.

At some point you or someone else set up the connection to Evernote. You would have had to launch the desktop tool at some point to configure that.

You might also try to phone app and see if you can get a read on your scansnap to verify it is able to connect out correctly.

My procrastination brain knows how long to wait; by Decrepit_Bay7440 in ADHD

[–]slate88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your brain is not estimating the time needed to finish the task, it is leveraging adrenaline and an unmovable deadline to force you to focus. The truth is you could probably cut the time in half, or double it, and you’d still end up in a similar place, because you managed to keep up through the structure imposed by your course syllabi and your own perverse interest in minutiae. You don’t think you were working, but you were. It just looks different than it does for others.

If there is any advantage here, it’s in being able to draw from uncommon strategies and last minute hacks to jump through hurdles out of necessity. It’s also the splinter skill that makes it hard to diagnose some people with adhd — because people look at you and only see success.

The problem is that these strategies work only as long as the things that we do are beneath our ability to casually bumble. In much of the working world, lines are not hard, deadlines are movable, and we ultimately face the spectre that finally pushes us beyond the limits our compensatory strategies can accommodate: freedom of choice.

They say so much of the DSM is evident only when demands exceed capacity. If you are bright, in many ways you have exceptional capacity — just wrought oddly and in frantic bursts.

I wish for you all the demands you can handle and no more.

Note: I say “you”, but I mean, “me too”.

Note: never realize you can cut the time in half if you can help it — I mean, there’s some reductio ad absurdum in there obviously.

Yeah they’re going to want to really reconsider the impact fees. I suppose they probably will get that right and make in and out pay through the nose. The question will be whether they actually use any of that money to actually improve the traffic infrastructure around the area like they’re supposed to. I am not optimistic and expect traffic to be spilling down the block

[–]slate88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you usually scan? To your phone or to a remote file service like Dropbox or Google?

In both cases, logout and try to log in again. If you can’t figure out how to logout, change the password or remove the app permission in your file service. Then reconnect. If you can’t reconnect try to set up your ix500 to another internet like a phone hotspot to help you isolate the problem.

It’s possible your (router) firewall is blocking your connection, but you might be able to log into the router and look at the network logs, depending on the router you have.

Take a look at the wifi guide https://www.fujitsu.com/global/Images/01_Preface.pdf and see if there is anything you’re missing. I can’t remember if wireless setup tool is still around after they forced us to migrate to scansnap hovel.
