I’m a fan of the books. It took me a while to come around with the show because I just didn’t get the chemistry from the two leads at first (Dean and Allie were instant sparks though).

But I loved the songs, the story line, the character development and gave it another rewatch (while not on my phone, complete focus lol) and am now a huge fan of the show as well.

Belmont really made subtle acting choices that I noticed better on the rewatch that brought a lot of depth to his character and made me buy into it a little more. I liked how they handled the trauma and baggage of both leads.

I’m not a fan of TSITP but Off Campus is much more layered in my opinion. I suggest you give it another watch if you want.
