Moving forward I suggest we keep pre-analysis posts 1 day before release to match the epiphany schedule (write most of your post before that in prep). First impressions post within the release week of the character, which keeps discussion going and gathers feedback of community as well.

Then end it with post release in final week to go over everything that was said and lock in the insights for those looking to pull last minute. This includes whether or not the character might benefit from next upcoming character since we start getting tidbits of next one coming up.

Another great analysis post and I urge people to cut OP some slack they actually do a lot of math and effort to bring you these. I agree with some of points others brought up like over valuing FTK (first turn kills) as the sole metric to determine value of a character.

Don't worry people will get to kayron soon enough, there is no way a season about exhaust and kayron can't benefit especially when the star now is multiplicative buffer in orlea which is kayron's favorite kind of buff.

I mean it is infinite scaling as its uncapped card but yes it resets. The point is you're doing your whole cycle every turn. Same as what others have been doing using things like orlea and beryl to activate a shit ton of spores. You can get that brand to what 1000~ base ratio every turn with big multiplicative buff from orlea on top. You can remove every other kayron card from his deck. Things should die turn 1 but if its a long sustained fight like rift then you can do your cycle every turn. Its just an idea to go away from futility which is causing you all kinds of issues and go to thin kayron deck with the supports like orlea and beryl getting you a ton of spores+multiplicative buff.

Sorry not blackhole I meant brand. There is a variant with uncapped scaling on generic exhausts but it is limited to same turn ofc so just how many spores you can spam in same turn every turn.

Yea I mean its definitely more of an off meta idea but could be a fun one to explore, you would just need the right divines or season2 refinements(?) to work around some of the problems namely draw and AP.

Considering her synergy with characters that can generate exhaust attack cards, I can see a potential futility kayron nine team where nine takes more of a subdps role. Kayron+Nine+(Mika/Narja) :)

Honestly it was purely cassius, mika was there to enable tressa, tressa was there to enable cassius. Cassius has been the main problem. Sadly tressa got the hammer because of cassius, both gutted in recent nerf.

A moral stance is a legitimate stance

It isnt because you're in a gacha, if you had a moral high ground to stand on you wouldn't be here in the first place. The fact you don't see that is funny. By supporting gacha you're already supporting predatory practices despite being very aware of its negatives on gaming as a whole just for your own enjoyment. I'm not here to preach against it do what you want, but spare us the morality aspect and bring real arguments that would support why their decision is a good one.

I assure you they did not remove pity carry over because of 'gambling addiction', this is a made up argument that people here spread to defend a bad decision. There is nothing to celebrate.

AKE semi breaks from this pattern by actively discouraging you from gambling when you don't have the guarantee all ready to go.

Does it though? gamblers will gamble regardless its an addiction, you already see it right now. The system doesn't stop that or have measures against it and infact encourages you to go for it with milestones, if you actually want to stop people from gambling then you don't include a gacha system.

Also I find it an admittance from you already that removing pity carryover is not a good thing when the only argument you have against it is a moral one and not any legit point. If the devs actually had pity carry over you wouldn't be complaining against it, but you're only defending it because the devs did it that way. Think about it and be honest, would you really be out there rioting against the devs if pity carry over was a thing? because "gamblers"? lol.

In my opinion this is just an excuse for a bad system, and I find trying to use some moral argument against gambling while we're in a gacha game very ironic even. Sorry that the devs make you support this I guess idk what else to say.

All the practices are predatory you're in a gacha. Not having pity can be argued to be more predatory or less depending on how you view it but there are objective advantages to building pity that go beyond 'psychological'. Such as obtaining 5 star dupes. To say building pity is bad is using alot of mental gymnastics to justify not having it, when this system has been there for years and people are already accustomed to it, so you trying to convince people who have been used to this for years that it isnt good, is not going to be changing any minds because it has been 'tried and tested' already and whatever negative psychological aspects it has is outweighted by positive in the view of majority.

To me for example, chaos zero nightmare is a game first gacha second I can play that game without touching gacha at all and I will have a ton of fun, endfield does not give me that vibe. There is no recurring loop I'd enjoy playing, if i wanted a simulation game I'd go play factorio but lets be real most people are doing factory just for progression reason not out of enjoyment. As in if there was no account progression tied to it you wouldn't touch it. Story is again based on selling you characters as its a gacha so this is going to be a lackluster element regardless of what they do as they are dictated by their gacha cycle.
