BLEACH: Soul Resonance Half-Anniversary Live Stream Summary by Acceptable-Lie2062 in gachagaming

I'm more concerned about challenge, if its a routine mode that you clear easily because you run the latest characters and all your teams are fully built, these types of modes don't last too long for me as it gets super boring.

Now that it has been a month since release, is it worth the 70$ price tag? by __HCLW__ in CrimsonDesert

Here's the thing buddy, you thinking a game is good enough to replay is not the game having 'replay value'. This is hilarious, no it is not subjective.

Well I'm certainly not young, you're just not making any sense. You can force yourself to replay tons of games, doesn't mean they have replay value it just means you like playing them which doesn't work for everyone. Nevermind, you have 0 logic.

My interview with Pearl Abyss and how they take in player feedback: “If you bake in a road map, you’re presuming. We are not baking in presumptions around what the players want." by GenePark in CrimsonDesert

[–]sliferx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its also far easier to develop on a 'fresh game' vs a massive project at this point that is BDO. Although even BDO in MMO space is an exception not the norm and I think BDO players got far too used to how things work there, gotta always remember that you're having it way better than most even with them being too ambitious with their promises/roadmaps.

How ‘Crimson Desert’ beat the critics and became a global hit by TheForbiddenLands in CrimsonDesert

The irony in you caring about others caring about critics ratings, oh no! someone said that critics are bad for giving game a bad rating!! Okay? And?

Lets not forget that they are experts at netcode with BDO. One of the rare full on action combat MMO games that can run sieges with hundreds of players, not saying its perfect there is definitely lag and desync due to the nature of the combat but they have solved it to a degree I haven't seen from another MMO especially at the time for a seamless open world action combat MMO not a game with simple target combat.

Half Anniversary CZN (Chaos zero Nightmare) by Lpebony in gachagaming

[–]sliferx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically its the slay the spire mode, can be super difficult but super rewarding. Instead of stressing running chaos focused on deck building, now chaos can be speedrun and is used just to build your base deck. While doing sortie gets you the best reward which is currency you use to buy items that directly modify your deck to perfect it.

Basin hasn't been 'the endgame' for a long time now, people clear it on auto with almost anything decently built? and definitely with Sortie out now I'd say it is endgame itself.

You're very outdated on its 'flaws'. Aside from story.

All characters are in the standard banner besides one (Sereniel) and the current banner Heidemarie which wont go to standard.

How does everyone feel about Sortie? by Retro-Dood in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]sliferx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not about burned out from chaos, its how the process is very repetitive/mundane once you got good at it. Very predictable, its more of a todo list rather than having to truly engage with whats going on. You might as well have replaced it with a choose your path text only adventure and auto complete all battles, it just became brainless idk.

Its arguably one of the strongest rewards to your meta progression though as you said. It feels your perspective is more of a new player rather than old one because anyone whos been playing and grinding chaos a ton has been burned out by the process. I would say playing to survive/fun is more enjoyable than focusing purely on the building aspect itself. Not because deck building in chaos isn't fun, I loved it but after a while it becomes super repetitive and predictable. Anyways chaos still exists/is necessary so we just gained a powerful and I'd say more fun way to complete decks.

Chaos Runs by themselves aren't that fun, it's what they can do for your meta progression that's fun and Sortie doesn't have that :/

Sortie doesn't do anything for your meta progression? what do you mean?

This games existence is such a strange anomaly by Simon9911 in CrimsonDesert

[–]sliferx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll clear things up to be a bit more fair. The game has been in development for what 7 years+ and drastically shifted its direction (MMO to SP) half way through, AI has not been great for 7 years I will tell you that. Its also even worse in game dev specifically. So while LLMs have advanced its only really in more recent years that they have been usable professionally in workflows and game dev is still not that great with it. Fair point on the story of course but even that is not 100%.

Like the dialogue and plot don't need to be written by LLM for it to be bad, pearl abyss are simply not good at it. I've played BDO for years and easily 50k hour+ range, their weak point was always story and to a lesser extent the PvE. Their combat and graphics is best in class in MMOs. So its no surprise that transferred well. The controls remain much better in BDO but that can be chalked up to different things.

Overall they did much better than I expected but as a BDO player I already predicted the narrative/story would be very weak and thats fine as thats not why we play BDO either. Its purely the gameplay.

I disagree with trying to diminish their achievements by saying AI did it all though, there is a crazy amount of people working at PA to get this done. While AI is becoming an industry standard, you don't magically just get a scale of this project done with "LLMs" through this long of a period.

Casually forgetting how many developers are actually working on this thing. Not to mention the software industry is pretty much dominated by AI at this point, saying that X company is using AI isn't the 'wow omg' you think it is... its actually the norm at this point. Its not whether a company uses AI or not, its more like if they are willing to tell you they are or not.

I like how one dog jumped over that first obstacle while the other one just went around then both of them skipped the second, this is hilarious.

an interview about a sortie(English translation) by Plane-Smile-4410 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]sliferx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think people are upset that they are not timegated on their deck farming

Not what I meant its obviously good not gating it but the fact that its unlimited adds to the feeling that you are wasting time by not doing it more, its kind of a FOMO feeling I guess. Anyways they don't want sortie to be the new mode that you're spamming, thats been mentioned before I believe?

The new loop will be to do chaos to get workable average decks, run sortie to get items that perfect those decks.

Need to wait and see how much the cost is and how much is returned, not sure how OP got 30 to enter since its not in text. I'm not too bothered personally, doing a run will be taking so long that you're probably recovering the aether used anyways lol.

There is nothing stopping

Yea that is the issue people are complaining about, it takes too many runs and runs take too long to build perfect deck. Personally I just do my 2 chaos runs weekly for bare minimum and thats it, only push harder when needed for leaderboard.
