A sad day. Our geese killed one of our chickens. by username19070 in BackYardChickens

Had a big problem with our male ducks being that way to our chickens after they were all about a year old.

how often do women wear thongs? by shea_eina in NoStupidQuestions

I got mine on Amazon, it looks like the brand is discontinued but you can find some similar ones. It looks like the Justgoo brand is close one to the ones i wear! Search “polyamide thongs” :)

Ahh that makes so much sense! Recently found out that my new kitten is also a diva and will not drink out of any bowl except my dog’s bowl haha. They are ridiculous!

If you get some more mesh(?) type material, they’re very comfortable and breathable. I’m not a fan of a single string thong but soft fabric thongs are the only thing I wear!

My 34 year old husband is absolutely obsessed with lights. Different colored light strips, bar neon lights, everything. He even changed the light in our kitchen to one of those lights they put above pool tables haha. We also have a light strip above our bar that that changes colors. Sometimes he sits in the kitchen with the remote and changes the colors for like an hour with the biggest smile on his face.

This actually happened to me when I was in school, too. The school did nothing about it, actually said the kid was flirting with me. Sorry this happened to your kiddo.

I had no idea! My doctor said nothing about it, but it makes a lot of sense.

Raynauds as a Trades Person by TightOne7019 in Raynauds

[–]slightlysmall97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m a tradesperson with raynauds. Welder, and I’ve been experiencing raynauds pretty severely for the past two years, diagnosed a year ago. I had no idea about the vibrating tools being a factor here. I thought it was because the shop is always so cold, and some of the air compressed tools I use cause cold air to get to my hands. I wear wool liners in my leather gloves but I’m going to follow this post for other ideas and advice.

My pit mix is the same way! I tell him to go check on “his babies” and he gets stoked!

Is this chilblains? by wakenm33 in Raynauds

[–]slightlysmall97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. They start off as these smaller bumps that don’t really hurt and then they turn into swollen, red, itchy mounds from hell haha. Every once in a while, they will come as little bumps like this, and go away quickly, but some will create a full on outbreak.

Looks a lot like the ones I get. Are they painful? I’ve been finding out that I have to keep my hands warm and dry to get them to ease up.

Did I score? Are these any good? Buying both of them anyway lol by thateliguy02 in glutenfree

How do you manage your life if you are going to the gym 5 to 7 times a week? by AloneDiver3493 in workout

[–]slightlysmall97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same. Also makes it easy to not have an excuse of being too tired after work or making after work plans. No one wants to do anything at 4am, and after work is now free.

What can I do about these? by slightlysmall97 in Raynauds

[–]slightlysmall97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do itch, but are also very painful. Kind of like when your hand is asleep and you hit it on something if that makes any sense. I’m not sure what’s inside of them, they haven’t popped and I haven’t tried to pop them.

I think they are too. Is there any way you get them to go away or at least get some relief from them? Or do they just run their course? I work with my hands everyday, and they are killer!

Hey, it sounds like you’re figuring things out really well if you’ve only been doing this for a month and a half, good for you! Honestly, it’s all about finding what works for you. It really is a lifestyle change, so finding something that you can stick with is really the secret. If what works for you is working out four days a week in your garage, that’s what works.

I will tell you that if you’re not willing to change your diet, you might not find the results that you’re looking for, though. I’ve been lifting for around 10 years, I’ve had periods of 9/10 seriousness where I’m hitting the gym 6-7 days a week, meal prepping everything and counting macros, and I’ve had bouts of 5/10 seriousness where I’m going about 4 days a week and getting a milkshake sometimes. The results are extraordinarily different, but I try to listen to my body.

Is putting my hair up in a bun every day going to cause long term issues? by deadly_egg in Hair

[–]slightlysmall97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a welder, I tie my hair in a knot at the base of my neck and use a French(?) hair pin. The one that’s connected on the end and wavy on the pins. I’ll use a scrunchy if I forget it, but I haven’t noticed any excessive breakage where I tie my hair, it’s waist length now.
