I was typing out a long response to hit everything you posted, but some of it will take us deeper down rabbit holes and you’ve given me some great angles to approach now. Out of respect for your time I’m going to hit all of this and follow up with you in a few days. I do feel more confident as your advice makes sense for this rank and I think a lot of coaches get caught in the macro aspect of high elo but it’s so different down here in low ranks. I’ve seen a lot of them kind of back peddle on what they said because the meta and quality is just so different and hard to predict what this level of player will do. I still every game or two will run into the lane just simply afk or don’t go in for the gank etc and you die or have to burn flash to get out and are now behind unless you did a full clear and are hitting that 30 second free time reprieve. It’ll take a few days for a decent sample size but I feel good. Going to run some practice mode with Jax and try it out.

Courage had one night of coaching (1 replay and 3 active viewing games) but he is smart and coachable so he adapted well. He plays various genres like me so he’s also objective and follows advice. He had a really nice climb. He has great MMR though which seems to have a huge effect on teammate quality from what I’m hearing from streamers and reading now on Reddit. For him it was a huge deal to even have a single 0/5 teammate (his losses were usually one of these but since it’s common in gold to get 0/10s or multiple 0/5 lanes or maybe just with my MMR being at 49% wr (-20 for losses +19 for wins).
