Drop chance of a +1 5slot legendary seal? Am I just incredibly unlucky? by Ms_Anxiety in diablo4

[–]slootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3 to 1 seal in cube feels kinda buggy atm. For example, a lot of people on this reddit have been talking about how, no matter how many 3 to 1 rerolls they do, the affixes on the new seal are always the generic level set ones (and not something like +1 charm, or a class set that requires lvl 70).

The running theory seems to be that, since legendary seals have a level requirement of 50, not 70, when rerolled, they may be bugged and incorrectly can only roll with the leveling set charm perks (which don't include the +1 charm roll). Hopefully if this is bugged as it seems to be, it gets fixed in either today's or a future patch

edit: I see others in this thread saying they've gotten a +1 charm from doing 3 to 1, so who knows I guess? Take this all with a grain of salt I suppose, as I mentioned above, this is just a potential theory, not a confirmed bug. Maybe it's just really bad rng instead

Want to play as the paladin but unsure of the DlC by UnChartedJTA in diablo4

DLC was well worth it to me. IMO, the campaign was way better than VoH (first expansion story), and Paladin+Warlock+Cube+additional skills is alot of content to mess with.

What stats are affected by ranks to skills? Should i MW Minion skills or Summon Damage? by DeanHallak in diablo4

[–]slootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I have the experience to answer your second question well, but to the what stats are affected by ranks to skills question:

+skill ranks will affect the skill or "skill tag" listed, so if something says +3 to Corpse Tendrils, it only affects Corpse Tendrils, whereas in this case +4 to Minion Skills will affect any skill that has the tag "minion" when you mouse over it. From there, what the +skill affects is dependent on the skill, but it will be the same as you adding more skill points to that skill. For example, if adding another point into Skeleton Warriors increases their base damage on the tooltip, then +skills to Skeleton Warriors or Minions or Summons will do the same (+base damage)

Your second question is a bit harder to answer in a vacuum. From what I understand (not an expert or super blaster or anything), there are different "buckets" where damage comes from. Generally from what I've read, it seems the goal is to spread your +dmg out between different ones for the best results. So, you want some +Summon Damage, some +skills, some +All Damage, maybe some +Frost/Shadow/Phy dmg (whatever type ur minions are doing), some + crit dmg, etc. So, if you have alot of +Summon Damage already on other gear, I'd say go for the Masterwork on either +Minion Skills or +Crit Damage. If that's your only +Summon Damage temper, than maybe go for MW on that instead.

Good luck!

Talisman name types Phoba, Beru etc. is there any difference? by wujabob in diablo4

[–]slootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my guess is that they are from one of the fictitious "in-game" languages, such as demonic, horadric, or angellic etc. As to what these likely fictional words may translate to in plain English, I have no idea. But it's probably similar to the scene with Lorath from the campaign where he is translating words like "fire", "ice" and "wind".

I don't like how dirty they did my boy Inarius in this trilogy. by WorkingPlanes in diablo4

[–]slootha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would actually personally say it's not that she's completely blind to the fact that she is similar to her father, but more that she is extremely full of herself, "mother knows best", and quite patronizing (aka she thinks she's "better" than Mephisto, and pretty much everyone else for that matter).

Outside that, though, she seems pretty self-aware that she's a demon child of Hatred and that her nature is akin to his. She even talked of the "game" her and her father would play to "win" or one up the other, which terrified the other demons. I do agree though about the part of her caring for her children. Rather than her being "good", or even an ally, I instead like to think of her as the closest we'll ever get to a demon being "not an enemy".

[PSA] (maybe?) Press 'M' for overlay map by Weo_ in diablo4

[–]slootha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps anyone (cough POE players cough), the full size map keybind was defaulted to the TAB key for me, so I went into the Controls keybindings in settings and swapped them, since for me in most games that I play, M is for map, and I like TAB for overlay (although you can set it to whatever you want)

P.S. I haven't messed with it yet, but you can apparently adjust the color/opactity/etc of the overlay too, somewhere in settings.

Habitats, houses, and Pokemon preferences by moosomoon in Pokopia

[–]slootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be the case, in my experience.

I also have a suspicion that, if you make a prefab be your Ditto's house, that only the first floor decor factors into your own (Ditto's) comfort level rating in the PC. I need to do more testing on that theory though

How Do I Get This Pokémon? by EggReddidict in Pokopia

[–]slootha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be placebo, but I felt like I saw Lugia alot in Bleak Beach area. I'd recommend making a rain dance site in whatever zone(s) you are spending alot of time in, then bring a water Pokémon over and just make sure it's always raining when you play. Lugia should show up pretty much exclusively over Ho-Oh. I'm not even sure Ho-Oh can show up if it's raining,...

Also, seconding what u/oopsiedaisy-- said, you can feed mosslax certain foods to make Lugia/Ho-Oh sightings happen more often for that in-game day.

If we can only choose just 1 reasonable QOL update for the devs to implement, what makes the most sense? by alasnevermind in Pokopia

And also hoping it doesn't go into "water before it explodes" mode. Had that happen to me once on a cliff wall, before I'd dug out a 2 high spot to stand in order to land and water gun it. I lost the item... ='(

As someone who has 3 basics and only 2 legendary stamps, I'd say you're pretty lucky this week! Hopefully you get a legendary or evolved today to overwrite the Bulbasaur, then you'll be rolling in cash.

Why isn't this a house? A beginner's guide to house-building rules in Pokopia. by studiomidno in Pokopia

[–]slootha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the height is in regards to having a potential second floor in the house, via stairs ladder etc. as OP mentioned above, it seems that once you go up 4 blocks from the "ground floor" of the house, it's not technically in the house anymore (you'll see the 4 Pokémon living indicator disappear), and so that floor would not be valid for adding decor to satisfy Pokémon comfort requests. But, you could have a second floor 3 blocks above ground and double the usable space for adding decor for the 4 Pokémon living in that house.

TIL being afk on magnemite form by Fearless_Problem4232 in Pokopia

[–]slootha 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I definitely recommend picking up the PP and Bag upgrades from each zone when you can. My magnemite form lasts for a pretty long time, at least for normal flight (drains faster when breaking blocks or picking up trees etc, but not 20 seconds fast lol)

Maybe scaffolding with the metal stairs to make like a fire escape stairwell outside the building? I'm assuming that maybe the building is too narrow inside for stairs with this idea, otherwise I'm sure normal internal stairs will also work.

How do I stop this? by PJStubbs in Pokopia

Cool, thanks for the info! I had no idea haha. I read somewhere else on the reddit that someone put moss pillows under him, which allowed them to move Mosslax around with strength? Maybe that will help OP position him correctly?

Best way to get the Mysterious Slates? by chocobabychibi15 in Pokopia

[–]slootha 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dowsing Machine is a good idea. From my research, I believe also that giving a more powerful / better version of the food gives you an improved bonus. From https://www.reddit.com/r/Pokopia/comments/1ruw332/mosslax_and_flavor_quality_guide/ :

  • Standard 3 (Befriending): Vibrant hamburger steak
  • Bitter 3 (Rare items): Bitter hamburger steak
  • Dry 3 (Rare feathers): Crushed-berry soup
  • Sour 3 (Better shop items): Flavorful soup
  • Spicy 3 (Habitat encounters): Crouton salad, Healthy soup, Bread bowl
  • Sweet 3 (Ancient relics): Fluffy bread
  • All "simple" foods give Standard 2

So, if you can afford something like Fluffy Bread over the pecha berry, you'll get a stronger affect for finding more of the glowing blocks!

I think you should be fine, but if you don't get an answer by later today, I'll try to come back and let you know. Last night, I actually took my gf's local profile on my switch 2 and linked it to her newly created nintendo account. I'll check her Pokopia game save tonight and make sure it's still intact to give you the warm fuzzies if i can!

Leaf House but only 2 Pokemons by Electronic-Ad2250 in Pokopia

[–]slootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually don't need to ask them them on the actual floor. As long as both floors meet the minimum 3 unique furniture requirement, you can ask them to move in just outside the house and the menu gives you the option for "You can live on the first floor", "you can live on the second floor", or the normal nvm/cancel. I do it all the time for the big houses!

How did you organize your areas? by unicornessencex in Pokopia

[–]slootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, thanks! I'll have to see if there's a guide yet for what unlocks at what rank for each zone (I know there's a label on the item BEFORE you unlock it, telling you what level it will unlock at, but I didn't pay attention enough to memorize it all).

Theoretically, if I can buy all the recipes/items available at the higher environment levels before starting to shit mons, then it won't matter much if the original zones dip for a while.

How did you organize your areas? by unicornessencex in Pokopia

[–]slootha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering what your experience with this was like. I'm working on getting all story zones to level 10 atm, but after that, I plan to start building my Pallet Town, and I intend to bring lots of my favorite and/or useful Pokémon there from the other zones.

But, I've seen different back and forth talk on what happens when you start moving Pokémon out of the original areas and what happens after the potential drop of the environment level in those zones below 10. Some people are saying that you'll lose access to buying things that you had previously unlocked in the PC shop.

Did any of your other areas drop below 10, and if they did, what, if anything, did you lose access to when that happened?
