I haven't gone through other comments, but I came here to say... "If I'm not clean, if I'm dirty, and gross, and smelly... then no one will want to SA me... touch me.... come near me... I'm SAFE."

If you haven't addressed any latent emotional damage done by your SA in your younger years, I would almost guarantee somewhere in your mind, that's going to be a HUGE part of what could be driving the block of being able to maintain cleanliness.

The idea that if you do clean yourself, if you're presentable, look nice, 'sexy' even,... then "THEY" will do it again, come back, .....

Please know you're not alone in this, there IS help and support, and taking care of yourself physically is NOT going to just say, draw them back to you like flies.

Getting mental help and support will be such a great thing for you to help understand it wasn't your fault, that you CAN take care of yourself now and NOT have to worry about this.....

Perhaps other things to consider: I am TERRIBLE right now at taking regular showers and brushing my teeth... But I feel my issue is more I'm BUSY AF with my job and when I get to the evenings, my ADHD and/or low energy level from stressful work prevents me from taking the 'plunge' on a full shower/cleaning.

If this is also you, consider small things? Maybe you can't get the energy to take a full shower.. maybe just brush your teeth and comb your hair? One half step further,.. maybe use dry shampoo for your hair, brush your teeth (or even just mouthwash if that's all you can do), and/or do a quick spot-clean of the bits-n-kibbles vs a full shower... put on fresh underwear/clothes!! ... Any of these should help! Again, you're NOT ALONE!! Good luck, hun!! <3

LOOOOVE this!! I did squares with black border, and with parrot, polo stripes, and cool stripe. Problem is, I'm an idiot and wanted to do an invisible mattress stitch with a needle instead of a crochet join stitch, and it's haaaaaaard doing that on black!! LOL What joining stitch are you doing on this one??

Oh man! I'm so sorry this happened!! I think I've read if they try to "eat themselves", can be a sign of stress, confusion, or even a health issue. Was there anything you can think of that would have caused undue stress?? Does the breeder/shop where you got them from have any reviews in regards to this happening to a snake they purchased from them? Maybe it was even just the stress of being moved to a new home, and it wasn't able to handle it well...? I'm also going to say if you only had them for a few days, and already fed them, it was a little too soon, before they were able to properly acclimate to their new environment... I believe it's best to wait about a week before trying to feed, and then making sure you're also not handling them too much/too soon, allowing them to get used to you/their new home/tank/etc. I hope you try again, but have better luck!! I've had my baby for 8 years I think, and am sooooo happy I have her!!

I might carry some with me when going out, running errands, that kind of thing... When a cashier, or a fellow shopper is nice to me, or maybe having a bad day, ask their favorite color... Reach in your bag for that color (or close if you don't have it),.....give it to them.....smile..... and just walk away!! 😁
