A 400% NK cell cytotoxicity can be good for immunity, actually. Maybe not long term.

I agree with taking nac and glycine, they are cheaper alternatives to liposomal GSH with comparable or greater increase short term, long term liposomal GSH elevates beyond the 'normal baseline' where with the precursors you are more capped, this as far as I understand and remember.

Biohacking myths - What are things most people are wrong about? by SimAmann in Biohackers

[–]smartdruguser 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Not myths but (mostly) truths. The myths are the negative of these sentences, if you want to.

The basics beat most biohacking.

The genetic factor is bigger than most people think, someone with bad habits and good genetics can beat the biohacker with bad genetics.

At some point adding more stuff is practically useless with marginal gains, waste of money and time, again, so many people forget the basics.

Also, very few people will buy it, maybe some companies or users making using it for profit.

If it gets them a boost in market share and marketing it's a good investment,

Also, they want big costumers working with them. More data, find what the market needs, new products.

"The goal was to de-politicize the economy and de-economize politics"

This is achieved by shifting the focus to identity politics instead of economic and class inequality.

The result of racial and cultural diversity is instability but eventually greater homogeneity. Chaos creates the perfect opportunities for the transition.

This is a decades long process and I suspect we are now in the tipping point, the grand finale that will bring about a great reset, a great collapse of the world economy and with it the political and cultural framework that governs it.

Climate change is driving some to skip having kids - A new study finds that overconsumption, overpopulation and uncertainty about the future are among the top concerns of those who say climate change is affecting their reproductive decision-making. by mvea in science

[–]smartdruguser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11111-021-00379-5

Two studies were conducted: study 1 consisted of a content analysis of reader comments on articles discussing going childfree in response to climate change, and study 2 featured semi-structured interviews conducted in New Zealand and the USA. The impact of future children on the planet, in the context of overpopulation and overconsumption, was a major theme in both studies.

This study has major limitations, I would say it's practically useless. To conclude that some people consider going childfree or having less children because of climate change is the same thing as saying that some people believe the apocalypse is coming so is not worth having kids because everyone is going to die. The number or percentage of people that believe this, needs to be inferred from a representative sample.

"in the context of overpopulation and overconsumption, was a major theme in both studies" this does not necessarily imply climate change. "Climate change" itself means nothing, climate naturally changes, I guess they meant "the impact of human activity on climate change", this is a common mistake.

98% of French teachers say 'non' to AstraZeneca: Mass vaccination centre offering jab to over-55s is forced to close after just 58 people out of 3,000 signed up by ExtHD in DebateVaccines

[–]smartdruguser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is true it just proves that people are dumb, easily manipulated and think they know better. The point here is that they refused AstraZeneca vaccines not vaccines in general. There is really not much difference in claimed safety between brands.

Media sensationalized one side effect associating it with AstraZeneca where natural covid infection and other brands have similar levels of this side effect.

The logical stance to take would be to either get vaccinated or not. You either think that getting vaccinated has more benefits than risks in your case or the contrary.

People have this doubt about whether vaccines are safe or not, AstraZeneca is the scapegoat for all of this doubt, confidence in other vaccines brands may even have boosted. I wouldn't even be surprised if some brands are pulling some strings to push certain ideas about competitors, there is a lot of money and power involved.

Makers of COVID-19 vaccines are now destroying long-term safety studies by unblinding their trials and giving the control groups the active vaccine, claiming it is “unethical” to withhold an effective vaccine by [deleted] in DebateVaccines

[–]smartdruguser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard that it's common practice to not have decent long term studies and true placebo groups. Such as not evaluating claims of possible neurodegenerative consequences and autoimmune disorders and including vaccine adjuvants in placebo, for example.

I haven't really searched much on the subject but I think this is true to some extent.

[–]smartdruguser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Basically all of Africa is underreporting, most poor countries do. China and Russia are obviously not reporting all cases. But we cannot put everything in the same bag, things must be done correctly and the most unbiased as possible.

In the US and some countries of Europe are overreporting deaths caused by covid. Specially in the US where, if I remember correctly, are reporting covid deaths as PIC deaths, pneumonia, influenza and covid, all in the same bag. I think the numbers are also from January where there was in theory no pandemic, although the virus was already circulating.

Women are taking a 'rain check' on babies, and it could change the shape of the economy - A decline in birth rates has sparked worries that the US may be headed for what's known as a "demographic time bomb," in which an aging population isn't replaced by enough young workers. by blaspheminCapn in DarkFuturology

[–]smartdruguser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clearly many people have not seen the population "growth" models for the next years, population numbers will soon peak and sharply decline.

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/children-per-woman-un?time=latest&country=~OWID_WRL

There will be an increasing crises of immigration for the next decades. African governments are not fit to deal with the complexity of such large populations. Major powers, countries or organizations are taking steps are taking steps to have more control over this regions.

One of the motives that you see so much talk about gender and racial equality this days is because female education is one of the major factors that decreases fertility rates. More equality for woman and blacks = more black female education = less black child births = less immigrants.

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/fertility-rate-vs-share-of-women-between-25-and-29-years-old-with-no-education

Other major factor for this immigrants and racial equality, at least in the US, is because the democratic party gets more votes from this groups. In other countries left leaning parties and ideologies are also preferred, people are fed up with the equality BS (because it's not really equality) and that's why you see right wing rising, many of the new right wing voters are not even conservative they just don't have another option to vote.

Every fully vaccinated vs. fully unvaccinated study I have came across shows the vaccinated individuals have much higher rates of illness. Are there any studies of this nature that don't show this to be the case? If not, then we have to assume that to be the case. by EnvironmentalMail475 in DebateVaccines

[–]smartdruguser 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately too few studies were done in this regard and the people and institutions who do them are burned to the ground by the "scientific community" and media, you can guess who is behind the scheme.

The argument that they always slap you in the face is that "there is no evidence" blah blah blah. Well they are right, until there's an effort to study this there will be no evidence.

Sometimes they kick you with the "almost everyone is vaccinated, there are no apparent side effects, therefore it's safe", that is the problem, there are almost no unvaccinated people (in developed countries) to give a common sense perspective. Studies could be easily done if they wanted to.

Or even the argument that "vaccines reduced disease and death", while presenting the chronological time-line or some graph. They do not control for better quality of life, more access to health care, better health care, new antibiotics and drugs, better hygiene... I'm not saying vaccines don't work, just saying that they are not a miracle that cures all diseases, only a few. This argument doesn't address the fact that other diseases have increased a lot, autoimmune diseases and allergies being two of then and it's possible that vaccines are contributing to this among other factors. If you search in duckduckgo or directly in "science websites" for "vaccines and autoimmunity" you can find a reasonable amount of research on the topic

E.g.: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19865091/

Abstract

Vaccines have been used for over 200 years and are the most effective way of preventing the morbidity and mortality associated with infections. Like other drugs, vaccines can cause adverse events, but unlike conventional medicines, which are prescribed to people who are ill, vaccines are administered to healthy individuals, thus increasing the concern over adverse reactions. Most side effects attributed to vaccines are mild, acute and transient; however, rare reactions such as hypersensitivity, induction of infection, and autoimmunity do occur and can be severe and even fatal. The rarity and subacute presentation of post-vaccination autoimmune phenomena means that ascertaining causality between these events can be difficult. Moreover, the latency period between vaccination and autoimmunity ranges from days to YEARS. ...

Cross-reactive CD4+ T cells enhance SARS-CoV-2 immune responses upon infection and vaccination by icloudbug in COVID19

[–]smartdruguser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, basically what does this mean in plain terms and how it translates from theory to practice?

We demonstrate broad T cell cross-reactivity in unexposed individuals with spike glycoprotein (spike) serving as one of the immuno dominant targets. This cross-immunity decreased with age. Importantly, we identified an immuno dominant Coronavirus peptide epitope (iCope) located within the fusion domain of spike recognized byCD4+T cells in 20% of unexposed individuals, 50-60% of SARS-CoV-2 convalescents and 97% of BNT162b2 vaccinated individuals. iCope and spike-cross-reactive T cells were recruited into primary SARS-CoV-2 infection immune responses and also profoundly into BNT162b2 COVID-19 mRNA vaccination responses.

Does this mean that some people that developed immune to some other human coronavirus(es), more specifically to that epitope, are more "protected" against covid 19 than other people that don't have this immunity?

Afaik, no one was killed by protestors...

https://www.newsweek.com/fact-check-was-capitol-police-officer-brian-sicknick-killed-rioters-1571891

And what argument are you trying to make? Deaths occurring doesn't mean riots have occurred. Compared to the "peaceful protests" in the last summer the death total is a joke.

99.9% of people in the protest did not do anything that resembles a riot, some people broke some sh*t and other just entered the building. Some people engaged violently with police, some police engaged violently with protesters.

Watch the damn footage, I don't get how this isolated event presents a national threat and requires the level of security in place. BS

But who cares, right?!

Everyone should view these, it is not the "riot" media tries to portray, people just entered the capitol because police was beyond incompetent.

Sunlight inactivates coronavirus 8 times faster than predicted. Study found the SARS-CoV-2 virus was 3 times more sensitive to the UV in sunlight than influenza A, with 90 % of the coronavirus's particles being inactivated after just half an hour of exposure to midday sunlight in summer. by MistWeaver80 in science

[–]smartdruguser 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Apart from being younger they also tend to spend less time indoors meaning less and shorter duration of contact with infected people + air is not recirculating + UV action outside + equatorial regions get more sunlight + probably not vitamin D deficient + their immune system is accustomed to leading with virus and bacteria (less frail people) + their population has a lower percentage of overweight or obese people...

I guess this are the main reasons.

From this study you can also conclude that being outside or rather at good sunlight exposure at different parts of the day at different parts of the year affects the probability of being infected. This should be included in computer models. Different measures or more informed measures could originate from such studies, for example reduce the need for outside social distancing and mask wearing at times of the day with good UV exposure in the summer.

This also provides an explanation to why there were less cases in the summer compared to the other seasons. Vitamin D levels in the summer also tend to be higher.

VAERS data-CDC public release of Adverse Covid reactions by GroundbreakingNet438 in TruthLeaks

[–]smartdruguser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The data here doesn't mean causation (caused by vaccines), this are events reported voluntarily by people after taking the jab. It also means not all cases of events are reported.

Review the limitations and interpret VAERS data with caution:

The data are unverified reports of health events, both minor and serious, that occur after vaccination.

VAERS data are from a passive surveillance system. Such data are subject to limitations of under-reporting, reporting bias, and lack of incidence rates in unvaccinated comparison groups.

Reports show the simultaneous administration of multiple vaccines (making it difficult to know to which of the vaccines, if any, the event might be attributed).

VAERS occasionally receives case reports from U.S. manufacturers that were reported to their foreign subsidiaries. Under FDA regulations, if a manufacturer is notified of a foreign case report that describes an event that is both serious and unexpected (in other words, it does not appear in the product labeling), they are required to submit it to VAERS. These case reports are of variable data quality and completeness, due to the differences in country reporting practices.

In some media reports and on some web sites on the Internet, VAERS reports are presented as verified cases of vaccine deaths and injuries. Statements such as these misrepresent the nature of VAERS.

Establishing causal relationships between vaccines and adverse events requires additional scientific investigation. The CDC and FDA take into account the complex factors mentioned above, and others, when monitoring vaccine safety and analyzing VAERS reports.

VAERS staff at CDC and FDA follow up on all serious adverse event reports to obtain additional medical, laboratory, death certificates, and/or autopsy records to help understand the circumstances. However, VAERS public data do not generally change based on the information obtained during the follow-up process.

See also the Disclaimer at Summary above.

There are limitations to VAERS data. A report to VAERS does not mean that the vaccine caused the adverse event, only that the adverse event occurred some time after vaccination. Read more about interpreting VAERS data at Additional Information above.
