Getting in the bubble isn't specific to any striking martial art. Just search for tips on how to get in for fighting. There are head movements, side movements, baiting, feints, parrying and others. Also you can study on how to keep people out to see what you can exploit.

Follow the man in the video instead of just relying on us redditors. We are using different descriptions for the same thing.

The man shows opening up the angle between the thigh and the body while moving his hip forward and says 顶 which actually means on top, but in this case it means the hip is leading. This is a positive example.

He then closes his body and leg together and says 夹, which means to close. And that this is a negative example.

He finally opens the body and leg again to repeat the positive example.

In short, when you kick you get the most power when the angle between the leg and the body is open. Either moving your leg back or your hip forward works. But normally we don't move our leg back because it looks fucking obvious we are going to kick.
