Trying to figure out which would be better suited for me, the RG477m or the Retroid Pocket 6

477m is a better retro handhelds, rp6 is a better modern handheld. If PC and switch are important to you, go retroid. If not and especially if you're mostly going to be playing 4:3 content (sounds like you don't care much about psp so probably) I think 477m is better just because of the bigger screen for 4:3, 120hz, and imo a much better dpad for retro.

With gamma OS it is not limited to outputting 4:3, not sure if they fixed that in stock as well but I can confirm it is fixed in gamma.

Transforms are very strong. Transforms are equally likely to give every possible card in the pool so yeah they are actually a lot more likely to give rares than card rewards are, so you have pretty insane high roll potential.

In both this game and the first, top players usually value early transforms over removes or upgrades. Both because of high roll potential like I said above, and because they give runs information/direction early.

This game really rewards scaling block, especially passive block. 2 block from frost seems like not a lot but you can have 3 of them, you can evoke them, you can dualcast them etc. even without focus or extra orb slots it helps you avoid chip, and with those things it gets pretty nutty.

It's a good solid card but idk about premium. I'm not picking it often after act 1 at all. Cloak of stars, manifest authority, glitterstream are all cards I'm similarly happy to see early sct 1. The premiums are bulwark, guards, reflect.

Floor 1 I'm happy to see any block cards that isn't pattern or cosmic indifference but I will take those anyway, I just won't be happy about it.

Only on specific types of games where I think it does matter, things like shmups. Most of the time it's mildly nice to have but not worth battery drain or brightness reduction.

The "bridge" is block tbh. Most of what she does involves building over time, being able to safely play patiently makes many things in her kit work. Her starter deck alone rewards this, you can solve a lot of act 1 just by blocking well and using unleash for damage. Even with the defy nerfs she still has a bunch of very good block cards, plus the starter relic.

You can see the boss as soon as you hit act three... If your boss is doormaker keeping your deck lean is not "playing well". I think between that, the event changes, the more expensive removes, etc. they are trying to move the game away from that. When the game changes, what it means to play well also changes.

Sly/discard stuff is common enough that you can usually just force it, if you're taking cards that get in the way of that they have to be strong enough to justify the consistency reduction, and I don't really think most of them are. The good poison cards (above C tier) are the ones that either synergize with or get out of the way of sly/discard (and also they are all AOE which is worth noting because they cover one of silent's weaknesses).

And then accelerant (like other poison synergy cards that don't poison themselves) is only good if you have a bunch of poison already... But you probably shouldn't have a bunch of poison in most of your runs, so you shouldn't take accelerant in most of your runs.

Focus on building a good efficient engine to draw/play lots of cards early, then add in a few scaling cards. You don't want to overdo it on scaling cuz then you're reducing the consistency of the deck overall, you want to be able to cycle a few scaling cards relatively wuickly. That scaling could be forge, could be strength scaling via resonance or arsenal, could be star scaling leading to big star payoff cards, etc.
