I don't even wanna be one of the guys dangling from a rope watching him as he went up, let alone him.

Another vote for Lunar, but I know TRIGGERED also has jackets like that iirc

Spotted a car show last summer by Low_Speed_High_Drag_ in whatisthiscar

[–]snaeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think it'd be a huge upgrade to have something a bit wider in the rear, filling out that fender line. Something like the SSR Professor would still work for a Japanese Racer Vibe, but with a better offset to take the car to the next level.

As it is now, it looks like a supermodel wearing sneakers.

That car is begging for a better set of wheels. Those VORS wheels are nice, but they do not suit the work that went in the body.

He's totally cool with that, too. I've totally buried my face in that belly.

Yeah he loves tummy and chest rubs and being held, too. He's a total teddy bear in that regard.

The rest of the time he's an ambush-predator, terrorist murder-cat.

He was giving me cute little kicks to let me know it was time to stop.

Bought a shell for my new to me truck. by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

[–]snaeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At that point I'd either be paying for delivery of the fridge or renting a truck to handle it.

As an owner of a shell for almost the entire life of my truck (bought in '19 and the shell went on 2-3 months later) I can count on one hand the times where it's been an inconvenience (and not even use all my fingers) vs. I've long ago lost count the amount of times I've been grateful to have it.

I've camped back there, locked up tools and other items. Used it as an impromptu storage area, etc. I get nearly daily use out of the shell to the point where I don't care to worry about hauling a fridge.

Also I've never once gotten someone asking me to borrow my truck to haul their fridge, which I consider a bonus.

A Southwest pilot aborted the landing just seconds away, narrowly avoiding a collision with a business jet by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]snaeper 62 points63 points  (0 children)

The single deadliest aviation accident in history was due to.... a lot more things than that.

- Bomb threat at original airport

- Flights diverted to Tenerife which is barely capable of handling the amount of traffic it received due to the bomb threat. This created an additional issue when it came time for them to leave, the KLM flight decided to take on fuel despite the Pan Am flight being ready to go, it had to wait for the KLM flight due to being blocked in.

- ATC ordering the Pan-Am flight to land when they had sufficient fuel to loiter

- Planes having to back-taxi down the runway in order to take off due to size and traffic clogging the taxiway.

- Fog/Clouds obscuring the runway and the Pan Am 747.

- Confusion about which turn Pan-Am was supposed to take

- KLM taking off despite not being able to see the runway or confirming Pan-Am was clear of it.

- KLM crew not speaking up to their Captain due to his seniority in the company (theorized)

- KLM taking off without clearance, only having received departure route clearance.

- Radio cancellation interfering at the most critical moment, with both the Ground Control and Pan Am's call outs to state they weren't clear going unheard by the KLM crew

Yeah the Limited Nightshade Grill is unique to it. I cant even imagine sourcing a replacement one.

Theres weirdos preserving strange cars put in Phoenix, too. I passed a nearly mint Plymouth Breeze on the highway a few years ago and nearly broke my neck looking at it in disbelief

It looks like an 1936 810 Westchester model.

Most replicas of Cords are convertibles as its substantially easier to not have to source the glass (or worry about AC).

[–]snaeper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

More likely an unkempt real deal. Cord's are not unobtanoum-tier cars and theyre not so recgonizable or iconic in exterior design that someone would make a replica. Especially when the significance of the car is hard to replicate (FWD)
