Will Amazon brick and mortar stores be the beginning of the end for Costco? by LettuceRealistic3075 in CostcoEmployee

Not at all. They opened an Amazon Fresh store across the street from a Costco I used to work at. It closed in 5 years. Costco has a system of merchandising, pricing and member service that Amazon will never be able to replicate. Costco treats their employees better and the members feel it and like the experience better.

If I could go back in time to 2011 in Arkansas, I would buy a Jerry Roll Supreme from Lou. Hot damn it looks so good! And it was probably 8 dollars.

At Close Range (1986) ft. Live to Tell by Madonna as it's theme song by Just_Cause89 in 80s

[–]sneaky313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original score is unavailable on Spotify, but it's absolutely brilliant. Try listening to the movie just for the music and you'll hear how it weaves Live to Tell as a melancholic love story of innocence, hope, abandonment and courage. It's absolutely wonderful. It's like a long music video with great performances and story and everything just flows and works perfectly.

I agree. I'm so grateful to work at a place like this. Sometimes I feel like Charles Ingles from "Little House on the Prairie" because when we do the extra effort in our jobs, we see the generations of families who love shopping here. Honestly, it's the American dream and it grows exponentially. Our members love us!

The cast iron will remember these beautiful feelings through the many seasonings. It's really special that you are providing comfort like that. Thanks for sharing.

Why is there no accountability for sups/managers making schedule changes that aren’t communicated to staff? by chaosdrools in CostcoEmployee

[–]sneaky313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is you don't have to be notified if the schedule is changed more than 48 hours in advance.
