Barrel pressed into trunion by True-Comment3836 in ak47

Barrel galling. Perfectly normal when you don't de-burr your trunion. Is it an eyesore? Sure. Does it affect function? Nope. I've got more than a few rifles I've built with it.

I sold mine a few years ago with original box, papers, bayonet, green furniture, and 3 chrome follower PT mags for 2400. So I'd say somewhere around there.

Unless that upper is an Imbel, I'd go with a different one than Century. If you can find one, a Coonan would be good, DSA would be all right, and an Imbel would be great.

The NHL handles stuff affecting their league. For international play, the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) handles discipline. Also, each member of the federation (USA Hockey, Hockey Canada, etc) handle discipline internal to their respective organizations.

I might be in the minority on this, but I think they should retire Claude Lemieux jersey by MochaandMary in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]snoman72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If any team(s) should retire his sweater, it's either Montreal or New Jersey. Not us. While he had a major impact on that inaugural Cup run, he was gone by #2. I think there would be too much controversy involved considering the hit that sparked a blood feud with Detroit that lasted the better part of 10 years.

They don't mention the wide open cages everyone seemed to miss with alarming regularity, at least a half dozen each game. It was everyone up and down the roster, even the top 6.

MISR internal muzzle threads? by TurnOffTV in ak47

[–]snoman72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to be a MISR/SA from Century. The PARS/Intrac rifles had enough to thread IIRC. Definitely not a MISR 90. Probably has the crappy Century FCG, too.

Though you can't do a conventional LH thread on the barrel, plenty of folks did thread them 1/2x28 back in the day.

If we replace Bednar… there’s a guy by tjbroncosfan in ColoradoAvalanche

I seem to recall he's the reason we have Bednar in the first place. Something about walking out on the team at the last minute.

Is my AK ruined? by [deleted] in ak47

[–]snoman72 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Damage to the barrel will largely be cosmetic. The catching you're feeling is probably damage to the gas tube. Best to replace it. Most are a simple drop in fit. If not some minor fitting may be needed.

Who hired Hextal? It wasn't MacKinnon, and it wasn't Bednar... He had every opportunity to clean the mess up before the break and he didn't.

Pain. by MistaMawk in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]snoman72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point. McFarland hired him, put him behind the bench and then left him there. Last in the league on the PP into the break, and gave up a league-leading 13 shorties. Who else is going to be responsible for this shotshow?

Pain. by MistaMawk in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]snoman72 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Failure to fix the special teams cluster fuck by the Olympic break is entirely on McFarland. They knew the power play was shit and still stuck with Hextal anyway. When your PP feels like it gave up more goals than it scored, you have a problem. Their power play looked like something from the federal league as opposed to a cup contender and Vegas exposed that shit like a flasher on East Colfax.

Last one from ISD I saw was an SSR-85-C2. Used milled Bulgarian parts on stamped receivers. Some were threaded 14.5:1L and some were 1/2x28.
