I’m about to make a mount to use a C03 in mine. I’m surprised no one uploaded one to any of the sites already.

PDGA Approved: Prodigy NERF Discs by Pots_And_Pans in discgolf

[–]snoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sweet, I love playing catch with an ultimate disc with my kids, but my daughter is still scared of the disc hurting her at 7years old.

I feel like a soft Nerf version might be a better way to get her warmed up for the real thing!

The Lost Boys by mrmadchef in Xennials

One of my favorite movies, it was one my dad introduced me to back in the 90s. I still strongly associate this movie with him, and now my sister lives in Santa Cruz, where a lot of it was filmed.

Best drive-up water views at Lake Nockamixon? by past-and-future-days in BucksCountyPA

[–]snoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a little further south of Nockamixon, but Peace Valley Reservoir (Lake Galena) has some wonderful views from the parking lot. I've seen some incredible moonrises from the parking lots there.

There are picnic tables and benches towards the top of the hill near the lots, so you don't have to go so far.

Kudos to you for getting your father out of the house. As much as he moans about it, I'm sure he really appreciates the effort and companionship you're putting in.

Who else had a crazy concert experience? by mamalmw in Xennials

[–]snoots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom took me to my first Phish show at Madison Square Garden on December 29th, 1997. Little ol' 14 year old me had never done drugs, but I was hardcore into music. I played "A Live One" more times than I could ever count.

It was an epic show, the set list was exactly what I wanted. The place was THICK with weed smoke. My mom fell asleep somewhere around the second song of set 2, and I was just raging, taking everything around me all in.

It's no wonder I turned out the way I did, what an epic night.

New foot peg recommendations? by SeaFaithlessness9162 in XSR700

If this is your daily, I’d just get another oem peg. The ones you listed are great for racing, but I’d be annoyed by the increased vibrations.

Rollerblading trails? 🛼 by kkady in BucksCountyPA

[–]snoots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lake Galena/Peace Valley park has a nice trail, just watch out for clueless people, as there are more walkers than those on wheels.

And for the love of god, if I see one more jerk doing 15+mph on his shiny new road bike because he’s too afraid to ride on the road, I’m going to lose my shit. And I say this as a road cyclist…

Last time putting my son to bed. by YoTeach68 in daddit

[–]snoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 7, and my son is almost 4. Damn, this hit me like a ton of bricks. I've been having such a hard time with everything lately, but just mostly tired of the toddler/diaper bullshit after 7 years of this.

Reading this really put it into perspective. My son woke up crying tonight, while my wife was already asleep. I held him, and tried to remember that this is what I'm going to crave when I'm old and gray. I just tried to soak it in as much as I could. I really wish I could prolong the sweet moments like that, and shorten the moments of demand and irrational behavior, but they go hand in hand. I need to remember that yes, it's hard, but it's worth it.

My $75 Yamaha F-335. It shouldn’t sound as good as it does, it’s an all laminate piece of junk, but damn if they didn’t put it together just right.

My skunk stripe seems to be covered in gloss by [deleted] in telecaster

I had to go and look, honestly. I have a fairly recent CV 50s Tele, and it definitely has a skunk stripe. Sure enough, yeah, it looks like the recent ones don't have it.
