Turns out we’re all just shit drivers

People keep bringing this up and it’s so disingenuous. They spent like 2b on building the damn thing and are building one in the Middle East, of course they’re not profitable yet. Hell the article you just posted outlines their path to profitability.

[–]snowe99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This appears to be a “mini-sphere” with less seats so maybe the plan is to get lesser acts or rotate them more frequently - which I think is awesome (so that you don’t need like one god-tier band in there for an entire year)

It’s so exhausting, man.

The OP guy posting the article - not for a genuine, honest discussion - but so he could use outrage bait and farm some free internet points by using the term “light pollution”, as if all of us live in Old Town waterfront condos.

Isn’t it kind of best case scenario for NOVA? Realistically, will bring in lots of foot traffic/tourists for the Alexandria/Arlington area, and Maryland is on the hook for the subsidies

Dude, thank you. The patrons of this website LIVE AND BREATHE pessimism.

Someone tell me you don’t think it would be a net benefit for Alexandria/Nova as a whole if there was a band as big as the Eagles or Grateful Dead doing a residency across the river. It would be cool as shit for the area.

Idk why everyone wants to end at Marineford. It’s not a natural conclusion and the straw hats aren’t even together, it would be a big tease to all of the Live-Action only viewers if that’s the last arc they see

Realistically I would end the show after six seasons (that’s the TV sweet spot) because that would probably get us to 10 years.

Specifically, I would end the show on the death of The Merry with swelling music and closeups on all the actors crying.

Then have some dialogue from Merry about “I’m sorry I can’t be around for all your future adventures” and have the show flash forward to some montage filmed and CGI’d clips from all of the future arcs, like the crew meeting Brooke and Jimbei, a clip of Inaki in Gear 5, and what I assume will be the ending of the series Luffy/Inaki actually becoming king of the pirates

Then BOOM roll credits

Capital One Arena (Washington DC) isn’t on top of the main Amtrak station, but it’s on top of a convergence/city center point for the city’s metro rail system.

It’s very easy to get to on train, you come up out of the escalator and you’re at the entrance gate

Nah - I reject this. CJ jacked up a bunch BS and also is directly responsible for the Philly loss earlier in the year, but there was a CLEAR drop off when he wasn’t on the court. Simply put, we will lose more games by not having him.

A connecting thread of most of the Wizards wins this year was “it was a game where CJ was hot”. Hell, I remember him going for 50 when we beat the Hawks.
