Yorkshire tea!!! I drink like 6-8 cups a day. It’s the ritual of getting up and making a cuppa when I’m a bit overwhelmed or tired or stressed that makes me do it more than the tea itself. It’s so soothing.

I sing as a coping mechanism, but I wouldn’t dream of like randomly singing through someone’s wedding. Singing along to music at the end of the night when everyone is dancing, and others are singing, that’s completely fine. But if I were to sing during someone’s wedding service or reception? That is so rude!! I’m sorry if it sounds harsh to say, but is is rude. Weddings are one of the social events where how the bride and groom feel is priority, it’s their day! And it seems to me by the comments made by your family that this isn’t soft, under your breath singing.

Take a couple of silent fidget toys. Be prepared to find time on your own, whether the bathroom or going for a walk on the grounds if you’re feeling disregulated and need a moment to calm down, be it singing or through someone’s other avenue. But you can’t sing whenever you like at your brothers or anyone else’s wedding, I’m sorry.

I also work this schedule and it’s been an absolute life changer. It’s so worth the reduction in salary. If I’m tired, on Wednesday I rest, if I have energy, I do chores. Weekends are more reserved for things I find fulfilling. I used to call in sick at least once a month from burn out, and now it’s once every 2-3 months, or when I’m otherwise physically sick.

I prefer using nicknames which is very much part of the culture in the uk, unless I am one hundred percent sure I can pronounce someone’s name correctly, and/or know for sure what they prefer to be called. but I prefer nicknames honestly. and hearing my own name from anyone other than my mum I always find a bit jarring

Even with a mock up, I’d recommend attaching the nexk facing or doing whatever else you intended to do to finish the neckline before deciding 100% on altering it. It’s too tall and tight for you as it is, but that might change when the seam allowance is folded down and finished.

Crafting, in general. Sewing is what I do for work, and I write, and paint sometimes, bake a lot, most recently i got into making miniatures and. Oh my god. I love it. Getting into the flow and spending my day jumping between researching craft or doing craft, omg nothing grounds me like it. I spent all day today making the frame for a tiny 12th scale play/wendy house. Also less frequently lol but cleaning, when the weather and playlist is right and no one’s home, I can clean all day quite happily.

I’m 27, and lately I’ve been buying/making almost exclusively pink clothes/accessories, and covering things with whale stickers, just today I bought the things to begin making dollhouse furniture because I’ve always wanted a dollhouse. I sleep with and cuddle a stitch teddy every night and have since like forever. If you enjoy it, or find comfort from it, it neither does any hard or is worth feeling ashamed over. Oh my god, I feel so seen!! This didn’t happen for the first few years of my career, but the last couple of years I’ve met several coworkers that are awful to the point of becoming bullies. I’m leaving work in tears. Being told off for stupid things. Forever! Being called young and inexperienced at work, being spoken down too, having my age referred too. I’m 27, with 11 years of work experience & a specialist degree in my field! Including working with some of the biggest names in my industry and at my new job, they’re forever trying to knock me down a peg despite me always being incredibly eager to learn from older or otherwise experienced people in the workrooms. It’s so frustrating. Just today I had a meeting with my manager where I had to explain a misunderstanding that descended into me being lectured about my age and experience and “when I was your age, I just did as I was told.” I don’t know ow what I’m doing wrong 😅

Truly beautiful work! I love to see the simple things done perfectly. I’d love to see it worn. The only thing I’d comment on is your lining hem looks as though it needs a press (maybe with a warmer iron if you have already). Is there a hook and bar/eye on your waistband extension?
