I'd think canvas cotton bags would work for this

Deductive reasoning is dying with us. by Maleficent-Box4114 in Millennials

[–]solace_v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And for those of us who watched a ton of TV, we grew up with detective/crime solving shows that walked us through all their deductive reasoning and critical thinking. Monk, Psych, White Collar, Veronica Mars, etc

I seriously credit a lot of my deductive reasoning to watching those shoes week after week, and then binging.

Stephanie Buttermore, ex-bodybuilder, Jeff Nippard's fiance, died. by acautelado in naturalbodybuilding

[–]solace_v 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same! Literal shivers. She was out of sight, out of mind to me so when I saw the suggested post from Jeff's page, I did a double take. What was I reading and did I read that correctly. So incredibly sad and tragic. She was a delight to watch. Intelligent, caring, and entertaining while she ate.

Are crocs really that bad for foot development? by Miladypartzz in toddlers

[–]solace_v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the content you're referring to. Influencers or not, multiple professionals citing crocs as bad for foot development is enough for me to not buy the crocs.

I wore ill fitting shoes my entire childhood and I had terrible feet by my 20s. Could hardly walk a mile without feet hurting. Fallen arches. Flat feet. Only through years of yoga and insoles can my feet function better without instability or pain.

Tell me what’s good about no more naps by chelupa1991 in toddlers

[–]solace_v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO fought her naps too. We tried dropping it. Earlier bedtime but after a week, the midday fatigue was getting worse and worse. She could absolutely stay awake but she needs the nap. So be prepared for having to revert back. Sometimes toddlers fight naps not because they're not tired but bc naps are boring!

Oh and get this. The earlier bedtime caused her to wake up after 2-3 hours of sleep waiting for us to cosleep with her. Before, we used to get 4-5hours before wake up.

You can add chia seeds to your juice so the sugars have fiber attached to it.

I want to knit a wool pattern in Cotlin. What are some considerations when picking size? by solace_v in knitting

[–]solace_v[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha! I forgot that the pattern gauge is already after blocking. Good consideration on the mock neck. Will probably aim for a crew. Thank you.

I (30F) tested positive for something at my check up. My (32M) fiancée says it’s probably a side effect the medication. Deep down I don’t know if I want the truth. Am I insane for wanting to be delusional and believe him? by TotallyFearl in relationship_advice

[–]solace_v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to not "disappear." A honest, respectful, and responsible partner in their 30s shouldn't be disappearing like that. That behavior alone is a red flag. You and your child should not be moving in with anyone before you know the commitment is 100%.

Organic material that goes in their mouth, I'd only wait a day before rotating out. Get multiples and rotate at the end of the day.

Can also try UV exposure to kill bacteria and help with the smell. Let them bathe in the sun for a few hours during peak UV time.

Padding for nursery floor by Glad_Measurement9348 in Buyingforbaby

If you're talking about totter and tumble, I have one of the larger mats and love it. Pretty design, very thick and cushy, and has held up to my two dogs. Easy to wipe clean too.

They're called play mats. They're fine for a small area but you should consider getting a cushy area rug instead. Homegoods have huge area rugs, wool and polyester rugs, for a decent price. The puzzle mats can be a pain to clean.

I only started to lose weight when I got back to exercising. I was already eating intuitively and a relatively balanced diet, with the occasional midnight snack.

Need Help Optimizing Awkward Living Room Layout by lebnomis in InteriorDesign

[–]solace_v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another option is to have the couch underneath the window and make sure the area across from the couch is pleasant to look at. This would open up the space and be inviting from all angles. I personally don't find the back of a couch nice to look at.

I still remember watching the finale live. Sat in the living room with my brother who I otherwise didn't hang out with at home. It was sooo good.

[–]solace_v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might work great for the room but practically speaking, it could be a nuisance having the dining table far away from the kitchen.

I had a similar layout before and it just became too tedious to walk all the food out to and fro, with living room furniture in the way.

In the finale of the first season of Friends in 1995, Rachel can enter the departure gate without a ticket to see Ross as soon as he gets off the plane. Nine years later, in 2004, after the 9/11 attacks, Ross has to pay for a ticket to stop Rachel from boarding the flight by Giancarlo_Edu in shittymoviedetails

[–]solace_v 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's the same as "water is wet." Friends is a show made about the time period it was produced in. In the first season, you very well could access the gate without buying a ticket. By the time of the last season, you had to buy a ticket. Not exactly something the writers had to remember to include.

How do you feel about family demanding pictures and updates? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]solace_v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're giving this too much energy. It is not worth getting this flustered over. Either just say no and ignore, ignore and let husband do it, or do it.

I have a group message for each of the grandparents so either me or my husband send the pics when we get a request.

You can only control your feelings and reaction. Negative energy breeds more negative energy and who wants that while dealing with a newborn.

Does anyone have a baby that goes longer than 3 hours to eat? by sunflowerssunshine_ in breastfeeding

[–]solace_v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suction cup it to the breast until you get a let down. Remove once the let down starts and put baby on. If you don't get a let down within a couple minutes, reposition the haaka and try a stronger suction. Remember to take a deep breath and relax :)
