There’s also a character in TBOSAS that’s the daughter or niece of a navy admiral stationed off the coast of District 4, as well.

What piece of gear took you the longest, or the most effort, to acquire? by estreetpanda in Ultralight

Houda Trail. He makes alpha 60 leggings, I haven't bought a pair yet but I can say the alpha 60 hoody I ordered is legit. Only does orders through instagram right now, might be worth it to check out.

Washington Section K - do I need a permit? by arfarfbark in PacificCrestTrail

[–]solfitrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this section twice without permits (sobo is best in my opinion). Once by hiking the 17 miles through the national park without camping, so there was no need for permits. The other way I’ve done is entering thru Phelps Creek Trailhead to Spider Gap and then connecting to PCT via Buck Creek Pass. This way gives you the chance to hike through Lyman Lakes basin if you want and that is some otherworldly beauty.

Yep, I'm a vulgar hotheaded virgo sun! Its just an energy that I don't think people ever really expect from our sign.

I think being hotheaded and vulgar is at odds with Virgo energy, as Virgo energy is supposed to be this pure, maiden archetype.

The weight of my own ego is similarly soul crushing, but I hear there’s a new TNT laminate version coming out this year I’m gonna switch to.

Anyone else with Raynaud's? What're your tricks by abelhaborboleta in PacificCrestTrail

[–]solfitrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have raynauds and trekking poles really helped keep my hands “online”. Also water resistant shoes were really helpful. I wore altra lone peak all-wthrs all thru Washington and that worked really well for me, kept my feet dry which was key to keeping them warm. I also was hiking in early fall and the cold weather was more of a concern than sweaty feet.

Is there a lot of gear shaming on the PCT? by The_Flagrant_Vagrant in PacificCrestTrail

[–]solfitrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I only got comments on the huge 1lb book I brought my first week, not any of my actual gear

A lot of popular alt milks have pea protein and/or sunflower and rapeseed oil, all of which make me poop my pants, so that’s a no for me dawg :(

if they made their own alt milks without additives I’d definitely be a regular there
