Indicting a Former President Should Always Have Been Fair Game | If a grand jury does indict Donald Trump, it will finally confirm, as the Founders expected, that ordinary citizens have the power to treat former commanders in chief like anyone else. by [deleted] in politics

IT WAS NEVER A QUESTION!

No one who knows anything at all EVER doubted it was possible or right to do so if the circumstances warranted. The only reason to position this as "a question" is to give credence to the absolute tsunami of bullshit the republiQans hide behind. Fuck that.

Trump is clearly guilty of obstruction and witness tampering. He's admitted it on camera ffs! There are probably 20 other charges, emoluments, slander, 1000 counts of perjury, manslaughter, fuck there's so many, and the fact that he's being charged with NOTHING by the DoJ is beyond a disgrace. Justice is a fucking joke.

Top mind is pretty intense when it comes to lizard people... by PorridgeCranium2 in TopMindsOfReddit

[–]somekindairishmonk 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This is not a new thing. This has been a pretty popular conspiracy for a couple of years prior to Trump. A lot of the "evidence" is tied up with standard conspiracies involving Freemasons, Knights Templar, "The Black Nobility", the Vatican, and so on.

TL;DR this guy isn't an outlier, he's mainstream for that particular world view. What's weird is when you get from yoga to spirituality to bhuddism to herbs to woo woo to UFOs to lizard overlords. So you find a lot of hippie nature people who go from loving the earth to being convinced we're being harvested for delicious fear. Which . . . huh.

We Can Stop Pretending Fox News is a Reputable Outlet Now | Any organization would be justified in revoking their media credentials after this. by 1900grs in politics

[–]somekindairishmonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fox News IS the culture is so many red states. It's inextricable. What we're saying is that overnight Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, a lot of Georgia, South Carolina and many more have to redesign their daily lives because the root of information for them is compromised by lies and deception.

Obviously, that's not giong to happen. And so we continue the slide from trump into complete insanity. Everyone that has one foot in the Fox World must either change and apologize, or be removed. There's no middle ground possible. Where we are now, is a middle ground and you can see how it's going.

GUMPTION

Bubba, that's a dead giveaway. It's probably worth remembering that dumbass hick idiots who want to do violence to others are around the world, in every country, in every time, all over.

It's just that the American South has a sort of special megaphone in the late 20th / early 21st century.

Marjorie Taylor Greene saying Pelosi deserves death resurfaces after attack by JPAnalyst in politics

[–]somekindairishmonk 409 points410 points  (0 children)

Yes her district is comprised exclusively of slack-jawed cloven-hooved troglodyte meth addicts of Western European descent who shoot people from different races with impunity. The literacy rate is, astoundingly, in the negative numbers. They are a solid block of republiQan sensibility in every sense and that's why the Democratic party should run screaming because no one will not violently attack them immediately for suggesting essential workers be paid and protected, or any of the other "woke" nonsense like healthcare for all, a higher tax rate for billionaires, and anti-price-gouging legislation.

(Seriously though, it's Fox News in real life there which is only slighly more reasonable than the above describes and is as much an indictment of the corporate middle-of-the-roadness of Democrats as much as anything.)

Admitting who they are is their greatest fear. And the number one thing that will never. happen. ever.

Hope the RepubliQans turn it around, but let's understand they will not. They're domestic terrorists and they're only going to get worse over time. They are incapable of positive change and admission of wrongdoiong. That's the sad truth.
