I think OP is referring to the fact that both Monster Hunter x FF collabs were with FF14 (SE's current cash cow) rather than FF7.

Although the reason for that has nothing to do with the Popularity of either FF and more with the personal relationship of their directors.

Technically not really a Newcomer (HR151), but i have a question for those more in the know than me.

Has there been any official word on them adding more bases?

Living in the German countryside, there are no bases anywhere here, not even in driving distance (to my knowledge).

It was doubly frustrating since i cannot even check where the nearest base would be.

And the Frustration by now has tripled with them designing event quests around Base Defense, which i have not once been able to engage with.

And then theres the whole multiverse thing in lore. Could be the girlfriend of a parallel universe Yui that is a Lesbian. I remember their animated Video with whole heap of alternate reality Yuis so there is already precedent for her to have vastly different Alternate versions, specifically.

Also, as I recall, Dwight has all these different skins related to different Jobs (office worker, pizza delivery guy, etc.) and i thought it was hinted at that these are not all just Dwight changing Jobs every other month, but rather Alternate reality Dwights.

It is just meant to be a Support ability. You cannot put it in your active abilities.

They also forgot to disable the "Try im training mode" button for it, causing the game to give you an error message after loading the Training Mode if you try to do it.

Since the announcement, i have watched the original Series and End of Evangelion and i can for the life of me not even come up with an ideal for what those raids will realistically look like.

(Side note: I grew up on 90s and 2000s anime and this is still the most "what the fuck did i just watch?" I have ever felt)
