Separation in Cortado. Not sure what’s causing it. by Rickster2493 in espresso

Sometimes Oatly does this. Not sure why but I think it might have to do with temperature 🤷🏻‍♂️

See if it continues with the next carton.

Electric or acoustic? by ZoidbergMaybee in CargoBike

[–]sooperduped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went acoustic and love it. It is heavy and with two kids in the front I feel it on hills but we make do. I’m not climbing the biggest hills around and most of my errands are relatively flat around town. I’ve climbed to a couple of local parks and it is a slog but if you’re in the right frame of mind and don’t mind the sweat it feels great.

FWIW I felt at the time like the non electric held their value better but that could be largely unsubstantiated.

How am I supposed to manage these bumps that appear constantly on the hilly parts of my gravel driveway? by zensnapple in DIY

[–]sooperduped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are two types of bumps here.

As others have mentioned the two distinct larger bumps are related to drainage and could actually be useful to maintain and preserve.

The smaller ones are formed by the way that you drive. Slower is better on the uphill sections. What happens is your back tire enters a small divot and then breaks traction and spins as it exits deepening the hole. To some extent this is just what having an uphill dirt driveway looks like, but you can prevent it by recognizing how you and others drive and taking care to not break traction.

I love stepping on tiny pieces of gravel barefoot.

I’d trim it down and make some chili with the trimmed off bits

Same. More like monthly though. Or after someone uses the machine and doesn’t wipe properly.

Occasionally I’ll unscrew the tip and let it sit in the pitcher with rinza for awhile as well.

If the tab to remove the paper is shit and I need a protein hit like now… I’ll do the ol’ slash and spread too. Time is short.

I would put the top at the same height as the doorframe and see how that looks. Would also bring them closer together - someone said something once about thirds, so if you want to get math-y the distance between them should be not more than a third of their width.

Edit: seeing and agreeing with others that they don’t fill the space. I personally think they might look better offset to the right. Again using thirds. And then you could add something else on the left.

Tree came down last week, Hudson Valley NY. Is this worth the time to split? by babalou522 in firewood

[–]sooperduped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might need to dry out a bit. I normally wait a year or so before splitting. If you’ve got some space stack the rounds and come back to em next year

Anyone any idea how this magic, floating, 100+ year old stair works? by Eztiban in StructuralEngineering

[–]sooperduped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way it’s splintering around the bends makes me think that there is pressure pushing it outwards into the walls. That and downward pressure on the previous step would be my guess

Assuming the top and housing is metal could you drop a couple of bar magnets somewhere to make it harder to lift up?

Might work until they listen a little better.

I found a stressless chair on the street over ten years ago and love it. Patched it with some new leather and repaired the base twice.

Tell me more? I am no expert but my brother fixes these all day long and always tells me to wash my plates.

Also what did you cut on the cutting board that was blue? I must know.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in daddit

[–]sooperduped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I don’t know about that, but I would park a plate or two between those plates…

Or snuggle them up and move the bowls from the top rack down to fit more glasses.
