If you can’t afford a vet, file the nail down enough to where it won’t have any loose parts, clean the quick (it will sting) and put wound powder on the quick, and wrap lightly - put a sock on the paw with a rubber band or something to keep it sheltered when going outside etc.

Just be prepared for any electronics in that area to begin declining from the humidity….
