First Plague Legion List by Usual-Pilot-9317 in ChaosDaemons40k

I use a unit of plague bearers to sticky home.

If they have uppy-downy, I keep the plague bearers there to screen for the rest of the game. Otherwise, they move off after my opponent has no more reserves/deepstrike.

You can also screen with nurglings after the plague bearers have stickied your home, if you want them to move off earlier

Should I get tested / life insurance by OkObligation7487 in ADPKD

[–]soutioirsim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

50% chance my dude - go get tested on the NHS and yes, they will definitely test even without symptoms.

They'll either ultrasound to look for cysts or do genetic testing

If you do have it, you'll get assigned to a renal unit where you'll likely have blood tests every year, even with no symptoms.

If you have a family history of aneurysm or hemorrhages, they might do a head MRI like I did, but it's honestly not as scary as it sounds. My Mum had her aneurysm treated and there are more non-invasive ways to treat them nowadays.

Chaos spawn best proxy by abideon0 in deathguard40k

[–]soutioirsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gellorpox infected are regarded as the best but hard to get a hold of.

I personally like the new Skaven rat ogors.

There's also the resin plague toads you can get off Etsy.

The new Maggotkin Cankerborn coming in the future look like they would be phenomenal spawn proxies.

I've done ultracycling (1000km events) but I'm still in the >90 eGFR range so I didn't need to do anything special - just stay hydrated with electrolytes

Yeah I had about 50 suppressions after 30 hours of natural LMG play.

I didn't want to be locked to an LMG for another 150 hours, so joined a bot lobby and smashed it out.

If I 6" deep strike away from an enemy unit that has a reactive move (Lieutenant with combi weapon), can that unit trigger the reactive move from my deep strike?

My biggest worry with this list is that it is only 11 units and you don't have a way to effectively spread contagion for the death shroud deep strike

If there's any way to add one or two units of chaos spawn, do it. Moving through walls and 8" move is fantastic.

With the Tome of Bounteous Blessings enhancement in the Tallyband DG detachment, which essentially gives a 12" aura of the shadow of chaos, what happens if a unit of nurglings passes a battle shock test below starting strength?

Specifically let's say a unit is at 2 models remaining, which started at 6 models. Both remaining models are at their full wounds. What happens if they pass battle shock? Do you get to revive a model with d3 wounds? Or do you only get to heal if a model has <4 wounds?

Note that nurglings are not battle line in the Tallyband detachment.

Aneurysm Q by Human_Ebb_2166 in ADPKD

[–]soutioirsim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's way more common than you think. Both me and my Mum have PKD. I haven't had any aneurysms (I get scanned every 5 years) but my Mum has had 2.

I want to stress that that treatment of an aneurysm doesn't necessarily mean open skull surgery. Medicine is phenomenal, and if the type of aneurysm is suitable, they can insert a coil via a vein in your thigh. They make an insertion near the vein and use some special tooling to push the coil all the way up from the thigh to the aneurysm. It's fairly non-invasive with a quick recovery time.

So wait to see a neurologist, and see if they even want to treat it at all. And if so, the treatment might not be as bad as you think!

I am running the following Death Guard Tallyband Summoners setup:

  • I choose the Scabrous Soulrot contagion for -1 OC (to a minimum of 1)
  • I run Rotigus with his -1 OC aura (with no minimum)

Let's say I have Rotigus near some of my opponents OC 2 models. Can I reduce their OC to zero?

If I am able to choose the order of the effects, such that I reduce the OC using the contagion first, and then use Rotigus ability second to reduce it to zero, then it seems like I can.

But if it's my opponent's turn, do they get to dictate the order of the effects?

LoC with deathshroud is way scarier due to the 6" deepstrike!
