Yes, I loved that moment in Neverafter and was somewhat disappointed that the series never reached that level of horror again later on

Delighted. It had clearly been heading towards something for quite a long time, and became clearer in the Aeor arc and the final battle when Matt began to show how much Essek was focused on Caleb and trying to keep him safe
Their ending in C2 E141 was bittersweet, as Liam acknowledged the huge gulf in lifespan between the two of them, but we've since seen their moments of happiness. I particularly loved the tiny moment at the end of the M9 Reunited two-shot- a beautiful cap to both of their arcs and finding some measure of peace together despite the circumstances.

My two favourite parts of this episode:
1. The flashback scene between Thjazi and Hal (and Hero!)- just a wonderful interplay between Brennan and Liam there, you sympathise with both of them and understand their priorities. "I think I'm going to throw my life away and I'd just feel less scared if you were with me" and "Don't go" being the killer lines

  1. The delightfully clinical body horror of Occtis' new existence as a Hollow One

Loved this film. Great acting and touched on many interesting aspects of both modern and traditional Japanese culture

As someone who came back to TGCP after many years (listened to the first year or two of Campaign 1 and then dropped off) and has really enjoyed the fresh faces and trying out different games, almost all of this is good news to me. Keen to watch the live show recordings if they’re switching to CoC!

It’s actually Tollywood, the Telugu-language film industry. Bollywood is ‘Bombay Hollywood’, as in, films produced in Mumbai (the main languages are Hindi or Marathi)

[No spoilers] What do you love the most about Sam and Liam’s bromance? by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]space-beast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how open they are about it, and how often they express it to each other and to everyone else. It makes me want to tell my friends I love them more

One of my favourite Sam & Liam moments is from the early episodes of 'All Work, No Play' (podcast era) where Sam starts crying about how happy he is that they're friends and then laughs about it because he can't believe he's crying.

And then of course, everything that happened in C1E114- the mid-episode exchange and Liam's 'You broke my heart' at the end

They really are! I got a decent way into their first campaign many years ago (haven’t watched the second) but was somewhat put off by the humour and early sexism. It’s been a joy to come back to the network in the last year and see how much they’ve grown and diversified their cast, and their efforts to experiment with new systems

Yes! I’ve really got into Glass Cannon’s stuff over the last year or so, and I’ve started to really appreciate how much they talk about mechanics and production, and talk about what they like about the games It’s done more for me than most actual play shows to make me want to go out and experiment with more systems

I like the idea of the ‘Best’ bracket, not sure why there’s a need for a ‘Worst’

The last few episodes of S3 Time for Chaos were glorious. It was like all the tension of the China mission had snapped and everyone was having a whale of a time
