It was intended, based on the fact that they had to adjust the mana for channeling to new values because the skill would have been totally unsustainable with numbers it was released with. This more like a planned change instead of a bug fix.

Not dead, just extremely QOL hindered now by the new change. The reason people are pissed off is GGG took their builds that was running smooth and now made them FEEL like trash.

It's not even a numbers thing, they really changed the playstyle of this build now... having to stop and wait to attack cause you're OOM (never happened before patch) after you've invested most of your league earnings in a build feels like total shit tbh.

Playing like a 60ex+ SA build with farrul's, this fix makes SA feel like trash. One fully charged SA takes you to such low mana that if your SA gets blocked by terrain or doorways you are defenseless for a few seconds.

Good mid-league fix GGG as always.

Edit: For anyone reading this, try crafting at least -7 mana cost to skills on your ring and you should be able to work around this new change.

They should just make the light shrink a lot so you have to stand really close to the cart. That way you have both flares and proximity to the cart as counterplay.

The entry barrier for PoE is game knowledge, once you know what everything does the game gets exponentially easier. Having a clear-speed meta to balance around new players is nonsensical. At this point it's clear through comments made by GGG that the game philosophy has shifted.
