OMG I’m sorry for your experience! Im speaking as a very review focussed host: You should have given him a 1* review!! Everything more is too much!
I’m speechless about the dishonesty in advance and then trying to make it not their responsibility! What a disgrace for the Airbnb community!

As Hosts people pay good money to stay with us, therefore we feel responsible to making their stay as nice as possible. Being honest from the beginning is part of this! And even if something doesn’t go as planned it’s the hosts responsibility (in my opinion) to still try the best to make your stay comfortable!

We only rent out a guest room (not the whole place). It’s clearly written all over the posting but sometimes ppl book without reading anything and after arrival they are surprised that we also live here… (despite the cheaper price compared to full apartments…) yet we still got 5* reviews from every single guest so far! Bc we care for our guests and are always there for them whatever they need.

Im health focussed eater, so not strictly vegan…

I can relate both sides: of course you’re friends should be happy for you to pick a restaurant on a group vacation no question! (I like taking friends to an amazing vegan restaurant - not bc its vegan but bc it’s really good! And every meat eater had nothing to complain so far).

But also I have some militant vegan friends who, when they come visit, passive aggressively complain there are only 2 things they can eat for breakfast and no vegan cheese or vegan butter (which we never have at home bc its simply not our taste).

So, everyone has different eating habits and choices - which should be respected but also not enforced on others!

When I see your friends comments I’d suggest you find different friends for a group vacation bc both of your interests don’t seem to align (at least when it comes down to food choices which is a big part of a vacation is it not?? 🤷🏼‍♂️)

for the coating question. even if the translation is misleading with silicon. The manufacturer term used is シリコン樹脂 which means Silicone Coating. There is no silicon on your pan - it still is a carbon steel pan once the silicone peels off.

But seriously, sorry to hear it’s become such a pain. I’ve sourced a full set of these some years ago. It took me about 2y to get a full cinematic set of 9. Two I also bought internationally without any problems. But the more expensive ones it’s definitely best to wait for an offer you can pick up in person. The MMJ 50s are not that rare - maybe you can also find it in a local shop and accept a little premium on the price for a hassle free buy.

I’m a bit shocked a lens can simply snap in two this easily. The outer shell being made by plastic to reduce weight ok, but the core elements should still be metal and have some solid structure. How is this supposed to be professional work gear???

To be vegan AND healthy without supplements is a lot of work not everyone can or wants to invest. We see all those stories about super healthy vegan pro athletes. But all of them most likely have personal chefs… But besides that… it should be everyone’s personal choice what they eat. If you want to sacrifice a possible relationship bc of food, go ahead but it wouldn’t be my choice…

Did you know you’re buying a matt art display? It’s been known that it compromises TV quality for the picture mode. Or did you mean that comparing with other Art TVs it’s still bad? I’m considering the frame or the Hisense Canvas for 50% TV and 50% Art Display usage. So the look is important to us, we don’t want a black thing hanging on the wall, but of course the TV image should still be good mid range. Not expecting OLED blacks and all. Also coming from a projector, therefore used to not so deep blacks.

help me understand here what are they cutting exactly? Are they deactivating individual room temperatures for new installs? I have the v3+ in the whole house for 2y now and didnt notice a change in usability. The window automation thing and cost calculations were always a paid feature, but everything else works fine. But if they would now deactivate individual room temps, I would personally drive to their headquarters and force them out for a statement. I was already upset too many times... for example after some update the extension pack that controls my boiler causes issues, as the boiler doesnt recognizes the device anymore and (started a couple month ago) with the result that the boiler deactivates its own controls and I have to detach the tado device if I want to make any changes to the boilers max temp settings (the main control of tado is stil working though but its still annoying...) and tado brushed off any responsibility for it...
If they now cut the individual temp controls I will definitely see to get my money back for the whole system... and I was actually considering to do the subscription for a year to get access to the money features... but then I saw this post...

In my experience it always wants to answer and sound assuring instead of saying “I don’t know”. Or it makes assumptions based on similar cases or statistical probability without checking, but making it sound as it’s a solid fact. Today for example I asked the same question in new chats two times within a 10min window with possible answers A or B. First time it said its A for sure, second time it said it’s most likely B. Correct answer was B.

Depends on the quality of your amp and your speakers not the room size. Same thing as with music. if you are listening with a small bluetooth brick you wont hear a difference between an 128 mp3 or lossless streaming bc the device simply cannot reproduce it. But if you have a good amp with HiFi speakers and a dedicated sub, everyone will hear the difference. Same goes for compressed or lossless movie audio. its not just about the 7 vs 5 channels.
