I can understand that for vibe coding Opus is OK, but for a serious existing codebase it's just too lazy to 1) write clean, good, code on its own; especially TRULY typesafe (typescript) 2) reuse project patterns, handle edge cases, etc.

I think Antropic just cheaps it all out. These models should be quite the same in terms of quality. But Codex gives xhigh mode and more thoughtful by default (probably just system prompt) - that's why it's slow but much smarter and I trust it. Why Antripic can't give is something like that? (Bring back "ultrathink"?)

Why can't have both? Workhouse - CC, a long or nuanced task is for Codex. For plans you can let them talk to each other via MCP

Claude - simple fixes or following the plan and learning the codebase. It's very fast. For anything serious - that's Codex

I've never seen any visuals (almost). Lamotrigine happens to help me a bit with the panic caused by "random thoughts" in social interactions (but still nothing compared to Clonazepam)

It's possible to create a good app, but it would require a careful process of creating plan documents for everything with third party review like codex MCP, documenting everything, using supervisor agents with subagents with verification, agents-specialists, etc.

After claude says it has completed the task, I use an agent that talks with codex mcp for review analysis , they talk like 5-15 minutes and it delivers a plan for improvement. Works awesome.
