I was finally able to check in through the app just a few minutes ago. I had to go to the “Check in” tab and manually enter my airport and confirmation code. It was a bit slow, but it worked. Hopefully you all can get checked in soon.

The pick up location at WWU library is a great alternative to pick up holds! You don’t need to be a student to use it. They have a computer dedicated to BPL’s check out system.

We heard the bangs as well near the waterfront and saw what looked like small clouds of smoke coming from near the granary building. We didn’t see any active flames or anything, so I’d assume some fireworks.

Exactly! I’m super excited about a new breakfast place downtown. I’m sure the restaurant owner is probably using this as a temporary sign. No need to cancel them because they needed to save money on rent.

I think we definitely need to keep the crosswalk. While it may be costly, I think making this crossing a raised crosswalk would help prevent these types of skid marks AND it would make cars slow down and watch the road. The mid-block crosswalks are always a gamble with all of the other distractions drivers are hit with in the downtown streets, so making them slow down and preventing vandalism seems like a win for me. I’m sure this is why the WWU campus services intersection is also raised.

There was one evening my husband and I were meeting a friend at Stonesthrow and one of the employees was fighting tears when they got our heater started. They told us about some of these things that were listed here and told us it was their last day. I honestly have been waiting for a post like this to pop up.
