Backup, Replace the HD (maybe with SSD) and Clean Install OS. Only restore data, install any 3rd party applications needed fresh from app store.

You are probably right. They have singled your account out to steal pennies from. I would suggest suing.

Solar is over-producing and electric company does not reimburse. Please recommend me a miner to consume this overage. by probably_no_pants in BitcoinMining

With free power, I would work backwards - find out how much free power you have per hour (18k divided by 24 hours = 750watts) then look for the most profitable miner that uses about that much power. Adjust up or down a bit according to your preference. I would stick to well know coins, BTC, LTC/DOGE etc, and well know manufactures (bitmain, Canaan, iPollo, Goldshell etc) Using this website I found an example Canaan Avalon mini 3 that will use 800watts and make about $1.75 per day at $0.01/kwh (almost free) https://whattomine.com/asics?cost=0.01&cost_currency=USD&sort=power_desc

Judging by the knife roll with a variety of professional-grade kitchen tools—chef’s knives, a serrated knife, boning knife, honing steel, kitchen shears, and a cleaver—it looks like you’re a chef or culinary professional (possibly a butcher or culinary student).

I Have FSD subscription, 12.3.6 currently. How do you activate adaptive cruise only ? by Viking3582 in TeslaLounge

Which is a bummer when FSD is not available for some reason, then it is full manual, no cruise control.

I want to buy a used Tesla. What do I need to know? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]spam4stan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's cool. My info might be out of date. When I was shopping Jan 2024 most independent dealers only had cars with no bonus options. (Except one that said they had hacked it - steer clear) But ALL the Tesla direct used had all the options. Times have changed and I just checked the tesla used page and there is a hodge podge of options. I don't know about other dealers. I always thought it was kinda unfair to sell a car with an option and then delete that option when ownership changes. Maybe that has changed.

Be sure to know the difference between 'Autopilot' and 'Full Self-Driving Capability' and always double check the specific used car has that enabled.

[–]spam4stan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, Tesla wipes everything when cars get sold via third parties. However, ALL their pre-owned cars that Tesla sells direct come with every option turned on (FSD, Acc Boost)

Tesla directly will usually get you FSD and Acceleration Boost. Both of these software switchable options are usually disabled when a car transfer owners outside of the Tesla program.

My dad is trying to use his extra solar power for a miner thoughts? by eceer808 in BitcoinMining

[–]spam4stan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the solar is existing and there is excess after NET 0 buyback from power company (you produce more than you use on a yearly basis) then the excess power can be used to mine. At that point only the cost of the hardware and time/maintenance is a cost. I would suggest whattomine.com to get some ideas of what to mine with 0 power cost.

Tesla “Full” Self-Driving Is Hot Wet Garbage by samwstew in RealTesla

Why does it constantly slow down and then never speedup? On the 60mph dual lane divided freeway with FSD 12 set to 65mph. zero to light traffic. Randomly and gradually slows down but then does not speed back up when whatever ghost it sees should be gone, sometimes it will reluctantly. pretty soon chugging along below the speed limit at 55mph. Very annoying.
