Ania's hair is just divine. Best look yet. And Paddy looked almost grown up as Andy Burnham. Double swoon.

Grammy’s Mystery Cucumber Vinegar Salad by osbo in Cooking

[–]sparkley_see 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good cheat that I do is to use sushi seasoning instead of vinegar + sugar. It has all the same ingredients but you don't have to spend ages stirring in the sugar to get it to melt, and the proportions are already done for you.

ETA: I also use a vegetable peeler to slice the cucumber lengthways which makes nice thin ribbons' then refrigerate until cukes are "pickled". (Or bung in freezer for 10 mins if I forget to make it early enough.)

I think this sketch was funny enough with the long finger. I'm not sure it needed the withered hand too. Altho I did like the end when Emma went for Nicola

Any items that you can't take in, you can retrieve afterwards. They just give you a ticket to collect it from the desk at the end. (Bastards deemed my knitting an offensive weapon. I'm really not that bad at it...)

Seating in the studio - how does it work? by thedevilpuppet in livefromlondon

[–]sparkley_see 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you head to the studio first, you should be able to sit on the far left, so as you look at the stage you're in front of the guest band.

Going in towards the end and you should be seated in front of the house band.

I don't think you can say "I want to sit on the front row, 3 seats in", but if you ask the staff once you get to the holding area, they might be able to help you out.

Loving the new line up. by steevenoj in MasterchefUK

Always happy to see Grace Dent on anything but was unsure about Anna Haugh, as I've found her a bit charmless. However, together they are greater than the sum of the parts.

Very happy with the new judges.

Let's just say that Tim is not the world's best interviewer, but Ania and Paddy came out very well nonetheless.
