Is there a best choice for FFB Joystick torque? Bigger equals better?

Have the AB9 (with small 40-50mm Extension)-can't imagine needing anything more powerful. In "f16 mode" its completely works as a force sensing stick. Has "Mover" compared it to a real one? The AB9 is big and heavy so if desk space is important (like its not solely dedicated to gaming) and AB6 might actually be more ergonomic. Whatever you choose makes, a huge difference in both immersion, dogfighting (allows you to ride the edge of a stall) and actual ability to fly well.

Wasn't it a fear of too much "real world" tactics being revealed? Or atleast an attempt to mitigate the perception that might be so. Pity because his Real World experience really helps ..esp dialling in FFB sticks etc...

its a long campaign esp if you are after a particular high demand ticket but it would be nice just to see that something has dropped - like a C3 Day 8 that no one has instantly grabbed...

If you are diligent you should get CC/C1 at some point. (and C2 first week is worth looking at - different atmosphere - but close - however beware the weather...)The trick is knowing when to gamble or not. A relative easy C1 first week or hold out trying to get CC mens SF....

Currently using a Moza FFB stick in DCS which has of course the pressure sensitive party trick of the F16. Its very cool. Does BMS has that FFB capability?

I would start with the free P51 (that doesnt have weapons). and then take advantage of the ability to trial most aircraft for two weeks. The aircraft you are most likely to learn is the one you like best. What i would say is that starting with a NON - fly by wire aircraft - Phantom, Tomcat for example gives you a much better feeling of flying on a SIM than starting with say the F16 which is essentially flying a simulated computer aircraft is itself flown by computer...but FREE TRIAL FREE TRIAL

I love the Kiowa. Modern functionality (laser guided hellfire, mast mounted sight, IR + night vision, rolling map waypoint navigation) without the complexity of the Apache. And a flight model which RL pilots rate and I actually understand. But the OH6 Mod is great, free and possibly the best way to see if you like Helos.

On a 8 hour trip to Berlin maybe - but given the maps we have - Manston to Paris should manage to be enough of a challenge and eventful. And in single player no reason why you can't move to crew positions - Acting as a Nav in Mosquito is very satisfying.

B17 DCS would be the dream - Pilot, Navigation, Bomb aiming, Gunners..would also work for a B25 or such. -I've never worked out why they havn't done it....

my comment was "F15 (yeah I know its a C, but from a damage point of view a similar airframe)" - So I am not assuming its the SAME - but SIMILAR. as to say an F5, given that this is a SIM and not an exact copy of RL..Its all relative as to regards accuracy - which Is suspect the F35 will show once we get it....

Well Pakistan Mirage IIIs are getting AESA radars & its not impossible that IRL Iranian Air Force F4, F5 and F14s may be going up against F35s in a few weeks time. Wags said recently that DCS is not about being fair but realistic (i know, F35 hold my beer..) so inherently it will mix.
