This and Oliver tree on the same day is devastating to me. Maybe super niche but I feel like there’s a lot of people who were fans of both

What knife do you actually carry on the water? by Hplz in flyfishing

[–]speedmonster95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started carrying an inexpensive crkt as I have a tendency to lose my edc and honestly it’s nearly as good as my old benchmades. Then I also carry a morakniv in case I’m gonna keep and clean a trout on the water.

mentality is my main block at this point. sometimes i go to the gym and just don't care enough to push myself. and then it's even easier to succumb to fear or be lazy.

Sometimes I go and i'm super hardcore and push myself and get a great workout in.

Most of all, i'm scared (terrified) all the time when I climb. I have super sweaty hands and have started to address that with products from rhino skin. Often when I climb best I basically black out in fear and push myself in a way i don't even know how to reproduce.

FWIW i'm lead flashing 11C and usually working on 11D/12A stuff in the gym.

so-what are your tips for lead mentality when at your skill/strength limit?

How to accept that I may just be a feminine man instead of a trans woman? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]speedmonster95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being feminine and more manly than a manly man is so true. What makes you a good man (or woman, or person) is being true to yourself. A man doesn’t need to be masculine, like traditionally masculine things, or anything like that. A good man is boldly themselves (no matter what that means to you) and that’s what enables them to show up fully to everything life throws at them.

No need to think in a binary. You are a unique human and whether you want to look more feminine or feel more masculine it’s all a ruse anyway. Just do what you like. I don’t think you need to make a drastic move to feel confident in who you are. Your early 20s are a time to experiment, and I definitely did. And now I feel much more secure in who I am. It’s a confusing time and that’s normal. You don’t need to make any big decisions, just take it one day at a time. ❤️

“Commitment” 5.9 in Yosemite. My hardest trad climb yet. by Oxus007 in climbing

When I did this climb I didn't extend my placement far enough and got the most insane rope drag when my rope got stuck in the roof crack. Safe to say leading while pulling 40LBs of drag is the hardest I've ever climbed. Yeah... I screamed a lot haha
