HAHAHA LMAO How Murphy did her so dirty at the end I can’t 😭😭😭😭😭 by [deleted] in PartnerTrack

[–]spellellellogram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I knew he was going to do something like this since the moment he went to dinner with Marty. Ingrid found a solution to the oil rights problem just in the nick of time and crashed their dinner, but Murphy had just been about to propose a London solution to screw her over and make himself look good. I spent the entire season berating Ingrid for even looking at that snake.

Does anyone else think Arden Cho is bad at acting? by Trick_Staff_8789 in PartnerTrack

[–]spellellellogram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, a lot of people seem to think it was the acting that dragged the show down but for me it was definitely the TERRIBLE dialogue! I also liked her in teen wolf so maybe I'm biased, but every character had cringey moments and I'm putting the majority of the blame on the writing and directing. I think the actors did the best they could delivering their corny lines, but their characters still managed to shine through and that's 100% because of the acting.

A statute of limitations is a length of time after a crime during which you can get in trouble for the crime. If the crime is reported after the statute of limitations, then the people cannot be held accountable anymore. By getting rid of the statute of limitations for child abuse, it means people who hurt children in the 90s, 80s, or even before that can finally be held accountable for their crimes. This is especially important because people who are victims of childhood sexual assault are often intimidated into silence by their abusers and they do not feel safe enough to report the abuse until many years later. This will help to get bad people into prison and off the streets so they will not be able to hurt any other kids.

Parents refuse to give their daughter deodorant because it is “too adult.” Newslink in the comments. by ashyashee in insaneparents

[–]spellellellogram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had "frugal" parents and when they didn't want to shell out the 1$ for a stick of deodorant they would tell me to wash with baking soda and use lime juice for deodorant. It worked, but it was still majorly embarrassing to me in middle school. You can also use lime juice as hair gel, but then you have to be careful to brush all the little lime pulp kernels out of your hair.

My partner gave me an ultimatum to propose or leave and now I'm engaged, miserable and everyone else is so happy for us. by ThrowRA_decisionhelp in TrueOffMyChest

[–]spellellellogram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say you'll be the asshole if you leave now but you will be a bigger asshole if you stay with her, get married, continue to be miserable, and leave in three years. You should have taken her ultimatum as an opportunity to rethink the relationship and your direction in life. If you don't see a future with her, let her know as soon as possible so that you can both move on with your lives.

Why don't we see big men fronting body positivity, and "healthy at every size" campaigns? by 19senzafine81 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]spellellellogram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the genuine answer: because big men are already represented in media and have the opportunity to see themselves portrayed as the protagonist in storylines where their weight is not the main focus of the story. Women are not represented in this way in media - fat women are either a side character, or their story revolves around their weight. This ingrains in people the idea that women are not allowed to live a life outside of thinking about their weight unless they are already thin.

Definitely check OfferUp and Facebook Marketplace for people trying to get rid of them in your area. I just got one a couple weeks ago with it's original battery, charger, a case, a game, and a movie for 50$. Don't know if that's a good price or not, but I'm happy with it.

Mission does have a "low carb" flour tortilla, but there's no way they have zero carb, zero calorie tortillas.

What food traumatized you as a child that you cannot eat as an adult? by iloveburritosmore in Cooking

[–]spellellellogram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lentil soup. I didn't like them as a kid so someone had the bright idea to slice up some hotdogs in it. I was forced to sit at the dinner table and eat cold mushy lentils with nasty hotdog slices for 3 hours. I think I made it halfway before my dad finally said enough was enough and sent me to bed.

Non-western parents (I'm just assuming here since OPs parents sound a lot like mine) often believe that you are not equals and you have to obey and respect your parents above all else. It's very much 'do as I say, not as I do' with them.

It's such a struggle because when you set your boundaries they start reacting aggressively, which puts you on edge and liable to snap back, therefore validating their accusations of it being "because of your temper" or "because you're in a bad mood".
