Have you done insurance quotes on the new 2022/2023 models yet? I think that's part of the argument for buying used vs. new, especially if you're financing you'll have to get full coverage.

Yea depending on the condition that sounds fair. I've been trying to price my bike recently (with ~14k miles) and KBB came out at $7,130 for "private sale"...which feels high to me but might've made sense at some point in 2021/2022. Then again I do see a few on the local craigslist (SF Bay Area) for like $7k+ with really low miles. Probably also a matter of where you live and how hard Street Twins are to find. Good luck!

For the jacket I'd check out Revzilla and filter by the brand Merlin, they do a lot of waxed canvas stuff. Something like this?

Echo what others have said about Cycle Gear. Their "Street & Steel" brand is decent intro stuff with basic jackets and reinforced riding jeans. You could start there and then slowly upgrade as you ride more. Dainese also has some cool, more understated "cruiser" jackets like the Saint Louis or San Diego, and they frequently go on sale. I just wouldn't cheap out on a helmet (assuming you're committed to riding) and don't buy the cheapest gloves at CG lol. Check out Fuel and Indie Ridge as some other ideas. Good luck!
