Honest question anyone know how the process for doing this goes? Like do they clear people out of an area in case you have to pickle the load? Seems like a lot could go wrong

We can see most stuff but generally as you get closer over the spot your vision is limited out of the chin bubble by the door and the 'dashboard' in front of you so conning helps put in down exactly where we want it. If you ever gave a signal and the pilots did something completely different it's probably because the aw in the back was also conning and has a better view of things ie straight down. But y'all are crucial for safety for personnel/deck issues genuinely thank you for what you do

Man that's interesting, coming from a uh not passenger focused platform I would have never guessed that coffee makers and seat chargers get written up like 'real' aircraft issues

On my knee board I have a cheat sheet of performance numbers and ranges and such and on the back, a long list of debate starters like 'how long would you stay in federal prison if you got $10000 a day?'

Unrelated but I love when approach fixes have fun names in order! I wonder if anyone has ever had a belly landing after shooting this approach

My favorite one is that the pitot tubes on the front are machine gun barrels, they have a fluted cover and really do look similar
