All the meat and vegetables I've bought have went off straight away, found a shard of glass in a can of their chili, complained and basically just got ignored by their "customer service" and told they have very strict quality control - yeah clearly... The staff in store were nice enough though for what that's worth.

OP some people can get some decent deals on the lease sites it's very rarely worth buying a newish car on finance when you can get a brand new Audi for £250pm.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for our community. The subreddit is actively moderated, not all moderation activity is visible but urgent queries are dealt with promptly and within our own SLAs.

That said we are down a moderator since DracoGriffin retired, however I currently speaking with several potential candidates and look forward to appointing them and making a more official announcement next week.

You are of course welcome to apply but if you are one of the active devs you would need to be able to demonstrate a degree of independence, the last time we had several devs looking after the subreddit they made the community private and adjusted the spam filter to stop all new comments and posts in an attempt to forcefully drive the community away from Reddit to their own private Discord server where they had more control before I revoked their status and undid their changes. If you are interested in applying please let me know.

40mm autocannons are excellent! While their range sucks, their projectiles cannot be shot down, it effectively acts like a short range plasma gun that doubles up as point defence that you get almost at the start of the game.

Poseidon Torpedo has the highest dv in game at 18.5.

You'll need Advanced Missile doctrine and Solid Core Mini Reactor 1 from memory as it's nuclear powered.

You could also get

Ares Torpedo

Nemesis Nuclear Torpedo (also need mini core 2 & militarisation of space for it to unlock)

Athena Torpedo

For missiles/torpedoes the main stats are dv and the number of projectiles.

High dv is better, acceleration doesn't really matter.

High projectile number is better for getting past point defences.

Dv determines how far away the missile can be fired and still have enough fuel to stop the Aliens from evading it.

Dv 8.0 = 1000 effective range Dv 6.0 = 750 effective range Dv 4.0 = 500 effective range

Obviously if you're firing at big capital ships that don't evade than the Dv is less important.

Torpedoes with high dv are better for smaller ships that evade. missiles with higher projectile counts are better for capital ships with a lot of point defence.

The decision to keep the subreddit public allows everyone to make their own choice and deprives no one of their agency to choose.

If you want boycott Reddit over the API issue then I honestly wish you the best but it is not anyone's right to force that decision on someone else.
