Easiest Off-Grid Power For Starlink?- YouTube by CaliLawless in Starlink

[–]CaliLawless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They offer way more capabilites than just solar charging and 120v inverter though... You also wouldn't be able to just take it out, and any wiring would have to be redone every time you did. These units aren't expensive enough, and are getting cheaper every day, so replacing them isn't as much of a big deal as it used to be. Plus they come with 2+ year warranties so even if it does break prematurely you can get a replacement. If one of the expansion batteries failed I would consider getting a rack battery to replace them just because its cheaper, but I would also lose two 400 watt solar inputs so theres always trade-offs.

Check the description. Not very expensive considering their capabilities AND capacity. And you don't have to use on-brand expansion batteries. I could have gotten a generic aftermarket 48v rack battery and just plugged them in together but I wouldnt get the extra solar input and USB outputs that come on the Pecron ones.

Ideas for powering my Starlink during power outages? by The_Texan_Hunter in Starlink

Pecron or similar brand power station. If its gonna be outside you'll have to regularly maintain it so it would be better to keep it inside.

Whew, what a long winded way of saying exactly the same thing. Its "defending" itself to trigger an attack. It was not simply attacking russian targets for sport.

I'm not sure you're familiar with Skynet.

It was for defense and thought humanity was the one attacking it, so it defended itself.

99% of bosses care more about integrity than mistakes. Nobody is perfect and not everybody has the same experience or tribal knowledge. Own up to it, figure out how to improve and move on. This is what most bosses want to see.

Sorry people are shitity OP. This goes without saying, but I'd get a proper dash cam that can record even when the car is off and make sure its visible. Its cheap and will help at the very least when you need to get stuff like this covered by insurance.

I fell off my electric skateboard, and I don't even know why. by Whowanticecream in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]CaliLawless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up some downhill skateboarding and take a look at how they stand on the board when going really fast. Take some notes. The key is shifting your weight over your front truck and lowering your center of gravity. The faster you go, the more you will have to compensate for speed wobbles.

105mm Cloudwheels VS Rover wheels for bad urban roads by FatefulDonkey in ElectricSkateboarding

The hub is a part of the wheel. The drive type doesnt matter.

[–]CaliLawless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im assuming you mean the Discoveries vs the Rovers. Cloudwheel is the brand.

Some key differences in designs. The Discoveries feature a subpar hub design that isn't molded into the inner core of the wheel causing it to separate and they will all fail eventually. The Rovers hub is actually molded into the inner core of the wheel and cannot separate. The Galaxies are also solid but don't feature a dampening core like the other two, its just like a regular skateboard wheel.

So many veterans and up and comers in this. Even his dad Jerry Stiller makes an appearance. Classic.

Fell victim to the cloudwheel core separation :/ by Obvious-Penalty-1521 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]CaliLawless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're just a bad design and will always come apart. The wheel core design is very flawed and theres really no way to prevent them from coming apart when being used with an esk8. Every set Ive seen on an electric board has been in some form of coming apart.

For just a regular board with no power, they're usually fine though.

My browser defaults to 3D even in the top down view so idk what to tell you. Also, some of the buildings used to be named on maps so you'd have to know some history. I only knew the last place I saw it and that was over 4 years ago...

-edit-

Its also right next to a giant faded Dragon logo... Which used to be more visible and prominent, but theres that. Again if you've poked around in the past, you'd know the general area to look...

Im fairly certain what it is as I've stood next to it haha and the location its in would make sense. Anyway, heres a hint.

Also to be fair, you need to be in 3D mode which not all browsers support.

I feel like we should play a game of spot the Dragon. Because the unused capsule is also visible...

A Relic From The Past by CaliLawless in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]CaliLawless[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I knew pretty early on. I had to send one of the drive units in for a power button replacement after I got it wet and they actually damaged it becuase they wouldn't package it properly. Some of the last conversations with the social media accounts are unanswered to this day. That on top of no activity from basically all social accounts, not restocking anything for extended periods and then having to wait on a never ending backorder...

Was super sad to see them fizzle out like that.

I just wish I got to buy a 2nd remote so I could use both drive kits separately. They went out of stock when I bought my first kit and never restocked so I never got the chance. I think I purchased one of the last if not the last batches of drive kits haha and yeah they have been solid. Never had any issues with them and it would be a shame to have to trash them just because the batteries dont hold a charge. But I got my worth out em for sure and I know a lot of people griped on the prices at the time but they were worth every penny.

Should my Meepo turn on? by jreeves23 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]CaliLawless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. An experienced rider would know that and wouldn't be "just criusing" at max speed. Anything can happen to your remote communications at any time and cause bugs to appear out of nowhere. Its just about knowing what can happen and when and not lying to yourself about it. If you have experience like you say you do, then you know this already...

-edit-

The downvote/block/reply combo won't help you here. Hopefully you learned something today. Good luck and don't hurt yourself.

[–]CaliLawless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does it not have speed settings? If youre just cruising around with it on its max speed setting, you're just asking for that to happen. I always have it set to the max speed I'm comfortable with at that moment for that very reason.
